Since it is made out of charcoal and rolled on a bamboo stick it burns extra hot so when the ashes fall off it can burn, be sure to use this in a stone or marble incense burner and don't place close to anything that can catch on fire.If you walk through the house holding it be sure to hold a marble or non burnable dish under it and be careful of the ashes falling on the floor, carpet, upholstery or your skin. I burned myself 3 times from the ashes before I decided to get a marble dish and just let it burn on the tableFYI I love how it smells but being so dangerous to burn I won't purchase it again.

absolutely the best incense out there. Wish I could buy it in a bigger bulk.

I really love this scent. What I don’t like is how thick the center piece of wood is. The incense sticks look thick, but most of that mass is the stick in the center. It doesn’t seem to add much to the scent, but its so thick that it doesn’t disintegrate like normal incense. I would love to see this product with either very small dowels or even with no stick at all (like Japanese incense). I also find the price to be high, but I guess if this is the only place to get it you can set the price to whatever you want.

the only incense I can tolerate. I have bought incense around the world as I travel and its not easy to find anything comparable from the states. I hate spending 40.00 on it because it doesn't last long for me but anything else on amazon is a complete waste.
