How to Write Your Own Spells for Any Purpose and Make Them Work

Honestly I wish I had read this when I first became drawn to witchcraft. I have always felt off about using spells that other people have written; it makes me a bit uneasy and it doesn't feel personal. I like being creative. I also don't think I fully understood the nature of spells and how they work until I read this; there is lots of valuable information about the ethereal energy field, the elements, etc. And to be honest I really liked that the author isn't preachy about staying away from dark magic; she simply explains how to do it safely. It's nice to read something and not feel like I'm being talked down to; I am not a "baby witch", I am a full grown woman who is doing her research. If you share the same sentiment, I highly recommend this read. I bought the Kindle version but I think I'm going to order a paper copy to keep on my shelf!

I loved this book explains in detail everything I should know as a new witch to understand. I have been doing small rituals passed down to me as a young girl but never explained just do this for this and that .but this teaches you what you need to know step by step.

I just went to look up what spells were good to do when the moon is in Pisces and there is nothing listed for A Pisces moon or a Libra moon. She only has 10 zodiac signs listed.I guess I’ll have to get that info off of the internet?!? LolOther than that, this is a good book for a beginner who wants the cliff’s notes on all of the basics. Not to in-depth or overwhelming.

I really enjoyed Sophia's book. If you need to understand the principles of spell writing, then her book will help you.

It's about time someone put the ingredients together and show people how to write their own spells. While some of us may already know how to write our own spells, there are always things to learn. We're not infallible, but every little bit helps. I was already writing my own spells, but, occasionally they didn't work the first time. Most of the time that was due to my focus being scattered. I havae learned from this book and am thankful the author wrote this book. Thanks.

There are also various meditations included in this book and a template for writing a spell for any purpose. There is also a listing of further reading for those who want to look at more Winter Tempest books.

Overall very informative and straight to the point. Good reference book for beginners looking to learn. Simple. I purchased the digital version.

Sophia DiGregorio is a phenomenal writer. Even though I can write my own spells she helps me get them together in 5 minutes instead of one hour like I did on my own. Buy all her books on magick!!!

It goes far beyond making and collecting spells! This book offers a solid and serious foundation of ancient knowledge about the true art of creating and casting spells. Instead of copying and collecting spells, learn about them, improve them, and make your own!

First off I'd love to shake the hand of this author. This book is AMAZING!!!!! I've been buying many spell books but they never give you the complete formula of why the ingredients are needed and for what is needed for the backbone of the spell to work.This author gives you a step by step account of what to do, when you need to it and how. I LOVE IT. She not only tells you all the components that you need to make up a spell but also how to get the spell to work fully.I cant fault this book at all. There are seven packed chapters of awesome information and a great appendix at the back, which includes common herbs to buy, crystals, gemstones and a great glossary.This author has thought of everything you need to properly prepare you to join the world of Witchcraft and spell casting. Should definitely be on every new witches shelf.

At last a great instructional book, clearly explaining how all the pieces fit together. Answers so many questions, touches on many techniques I'd never yet discovered opening doors to further reading.Absolutely love this book.

An excellent book for the beginner or more experienced practitioner looking for inspiration, looking to go back to their foundations and build anew, the book is well structured and is clearly and concisely written. It provides a great foundation with relevant checks and exercises to develop and focus your own spells/rites and energies, and is clearly written by someone who knows her Craft, excellent!!!
