Q: How did you guys create the wood grain paint job?

I didn’t go a wood grain but painted base layer brown with some texturing and highlights of some different shades so it looked more woodsy. There are more complex tutorials involving different types of brushes , sponge, and different shades and layers of paint. You nay be able to take a piece of balsa wood, which is light and pliable , and steam it to bend it. Then you can glue it on and wood stain. Good luck

Q: Hi, which kind of paint you use to paint it? Would acrylic works?

Scuff plastic , prime , spray paint the base colors and then use acrylics for weathering , details and the wood grain. Finish off with a satin spray clear .
