I did a burn-in test with this under various conditions and came up with some (subjective) conclusions:* If you try running it at less than 100% power, it will make a lot of noise. Either by choking down the intake, or by throttling output.* The suction cups are not amazing. If you're planning to stick this to the side of the glass, you may want to buy some aftermarket suction cups. But if you're sticking this to the bottom glass, the included suction cups are sufficient to keep the pump firmly in place and not scooting around.I have it running 4 feet from where I'm sitting right now and it's silent. The only sound in the room is the air pump and some bubbles. The water pump is silent. But ONLY if you let it flow unrestricted. If you want anything less than 100% flow, get a smaller pump.

I love the bang for your buck on this pump. I use it to drain tanks, fill them up without having to lift buckets of water and also to mix my saltwater. It’s heavy and feels good quality, the suction cups STICK. i can fill my reef tank up with this easily without having to raise the bucket of water off the ground. The adjustable flow is nice too. I’ve had it for 6 months now and it still works great! I bought a 50ft hose for this so I can fill or drain any of my tanks easily with access to a sink.

This water pump was better than I expected! It's easy to put together, easy to use, easy to clean, is quiet (all you hear is the water flowing) and works great! I make my own fountains and this pump works with any nice size container. It's sturdy and mighty!I'm in the process of making a fountain for my mother-in-law and I'm buying a second pump, same model.

it was cheaper than the rest, simple, direct design as name brand, mine has been on 24/7 for couple of weeks now, and no issues, what so ever.

Built a parts washer. This pumps liquid to my washing tub. Works great not too much coming out and not to little. Can adjust flow also very very quiet when on

I know I put 1 star but this is a very solid 5 star pump. The reason I put 1 star is because some of the 5 stars never get read and most of the one stars do but anyways the price is right and the amount of water it can pump is really good for a small pump. I'm a 20 year Master Plumber and have installed 1000 lb pumps down to regular sump pumps so my review is based on experience. I use my pump to pump out water in my sump pit (our house was built on a spring) into 5 gallon buckets to water my hydroponic vegetables and I couldn't complain a bit about this pump. My best guess is it pumps, all the way open, 5 (GPM) gallons per minute with a 5 foot vertical rise which is pretty impressive by my standards for the size of the pump. Plus on the pump it has a flow control which is nice. I hoped this helped somebody out and again this is a solid, reliable, pretty quiet pump.
