Cost-effective alternative to plating
I was trying to replicate my 70 Dodge Charger from when I was in high school. I could never find a kit that was a perfect match. Revell had a 1969 Charger that was right from the A-pillar back. I found a resin 70 Charger that had the right front clip, but the doors were wrong. I kit-bashed the resin front clip to the 69 rear. I needed to chrome the resin front bumper and wasn’t looking forward to the expense. I had heard of this Alclad paint and gave it a try. I painted the bumper gloss black and polished it for a good base. I applied the Alclad with my airbrush. I didn’t need to thin it. It laid nicely. I gave it 3 coats. A close look will tell you it’s not plated, but it looks great on the shelf and feels just like my Charger!

Goes quick but also goes hard.
I find that I blow through the small bottle this comes in, but the final product looks so nice I have already bought 3 more bottles for my project.

One of the best chrome paints on the market
Short of actually doing chrome, you won’t find a better chrome paint.(Put gloss black under it)

As described
This can only be airbrushed on, no brush painting. Must have a gloss undercoat, I used a grey primer, then gloss black layer, then this and it’s pretty sweet! I can see myself in the reflection

Didn't work for my project
I was hoping it could used to touch up chips on a plastic chrome letter by brush. After using adhesion promoter and several coats, it wouldn't cover. My project wasn't a candidate for an air brush, which may have made a difference?

Worth the money, pro level effect.
Arrived fast and packaged well! It is thin and perfect for airbrushing. It smells so use where well ventilated. You could also brush it on. Excellent Crome effect, and flexible enough for EVA foam application. Worth it.

Looks great, but far too runny for my application
I wanted to use this to do some touch-up work on a set of PVD chrome rims that came on my F-150. I'd done a lot of research that said this stuff was the best chrome paint out there. I will admit that it looks amazing in the bottle, and brushed onto the proper surface it looks great. Unfortunately for me, it was far too runny to use on my rims. I couldn't get it to apply like I wanted and it didn't 'coat' the surface... it just ran off.I'm sure if I had the equipment and the skill to airbrush it on instead of brushing it with an art brush that I would've got a better result. At least I have it in my toolkit if I need some plastic or some other small part to have a chrome finish.

Alittle Small but good Quality for experienced painters.
Excellent Paint, gotta know how to use a Gloss Primer or Glossy coat underneath, or paint a Glossy Item in order to see the real mirror effect, but its worth it if you know how to use it.. can only say the bottle is a bit small but it worked great, with a brush AND with an Airbrush.
