Complete, quality kit. Nothing extra needed.
Every part of the kit seems sturdy and well-thought-out, from the secure carrying case to the included charger and even a bicycle mount! The flashlight feels very sturdy and works great. It has five different modes: Bright (which is VERY bright), Medium, Dim, strobe, and S.O.S. You cycle through the modes by partly depressing the button on the back. To turn it on or off, you push the same button until it clicks. (The S.O.S. mode is cool! At first I thought it was just a slow strobe setting, but then I saw that it flashes Morse code ... --- ...) The light also has a zoom feature which is adjusted by slightly extending or retracting the top, and unlike some other flashlights, the zoom stays where you put it, and is adjustable from a sharp beam to about a 90 degree cone. The included Li-ion battery is an 18650 with 3.7v and 5000mAH capacity with a built-in protection circuit. It arrived in a good state of charge and I was able to use the flashlight immediately. The kit also includes a substitute battery holder that allows you to use 3 AAA batteries as a substitute for the main battery (AAA batteries optional and not included), but you should never need to use it, because charging the L-ion battery is easy! You don't have to remove it, just plug the included charger into the flashlight. The kit includes a micro-USB charger and charging cord. The charger, the cord and the flashlight each have an LED. You have to insert the cord firmly into the flashlight, and tiny clips on the micro-USB plug hold it in place so it doesn't come unplugged accidentally; a little red LED next to the charge port comes on to let you know it is fully inserted and charging. The LED on the cord itself changes from a green smiley-face when it's powered, to orange when charging, back to green when fully charged. The kit also includes the typical black belt holster with both velcro and snap attachments. The bicycle handlebar attachment was easy to install and holds the flashlight firmly enough for a bumpy ride. (I tested it.) The beam strength and battery life of this flashlight is way better than the purpose-built bicycle headlight I bought for my bike. I can't wait to take it on the trail.Easy to use, too. My unit came without any printed instructions at all. But it was self-explanatory enough to figure out in a few minutes. A great flashlight with all the extras at a great price.

Very bright, high quality and excellent durability!
Super bright flashlight! I at first didn't realize that the button cycles through different modes, 3 different brightnesses, rapid flash and SOS mode. I couldn't believe that it hammers out the SOS signal in Morse Code. Very cool!It comes with a rechargeable battery which you can charge by extending the flashlight out to the "Zoom In" position which exposes the USB port where you plug in the included USB cable/ wall plug. The brightness is excellent along with the ability to have a narrow band of light, or zoom out to a super wide range. It comes with an adapter that replaces the rechargeable battery in case you want to use 3 AAA batteries if you aren't able to charge your flashlight. My only concern is that the plastic case is a bit flimsy and not all latches will always clip in, but it's still totally usable and it doesn't take away from the how great a flashlight that this is. The holster style belt case is very nice and so is the bike bracket which has a firm grip on the flashlight. I highly recommend!

No instructions, did not work
The light arrived and was well packaged, all described accessories were present. The package had no instruction sheet--I know, it is a flashlight and should be simple. When opening the battery compartment, there is no indication of + or - for the proper battery alignment. I charged the batter in what I felt was the proper orientation overnight. In the morning, when I pushed the power button, the light would flicker but not stay on. The lights on the charging block were illuminated when plugged in, but the LED on the flashlight near the charging port never lit. I tried putting the battery in both ways (+ first then - first) with no change. There is a reason Streamlight and Fenix cost upwards of $150 for a similar light and this one was $20. You get what you pay for. Returned for refund.

You need to have it on for first charge
Just received it and i love it. I can believe it's so bright and the best part is the usb cord to recharge it, i can have it in my car charging and have it ready to go when i needed. I'm a very happy customer thanks.

No charging instructions
The flashlight is packaged without instructions and I have been unable to find any online. Charging with the provided charging system is NOT intuitively obvious. The minimal capacity charging adapter (5.0 V- 0.5 amp) lights green when plugged into a 120 volt 60 Hz wall outlet and the provided USB cable lights blue when plugged into the adapter. When the USB Type C cable is plugged into the flashlight charging port, an orange 1/8" diameter round light appears along with tiny red and green lights (simultaneously) inside the charging port. Most interestingly, all these lights show regardless of battery charge state (I installed known fully-charged and low-charge batteries and no difference in charging lights) and even more interesting, the lights are all the same with battery removed from the flashlight. So all I can conclude is that these charging lights are nothing more than dummy lights and provide no useful information. Now for the light. The light is decent enough for the price. The zoom function works as I expected and should illuminate distant reflective objects without causing too much close-in glare. The body feels sturdy and should resist corrosion and structural damage. The charging port has no seal and will likely allow dirt and water entry. A rubber seal would be an improvement. The light is a total disappointment when it comes to operation and ease of use. The tail cap switch requires that you switch through the entire range of settings to select the desired setting. This is bad enough that you can't simply click the switch once to return to your last-used setting but you can actually unintentionally turn on the strobe or SOS settings and disorient yourself.

Nice and bright
I bought two of these lights for my wife and I to have in our bedside tables in the event of a power failure. They both work extremely well and are really durable. I'm impressed that they come in a hard shell plastic case with batteries. The bike attachments we will never use but a nice touch just the same. Give one a try, you'll likely be surprised.

The instructions are terrible! It's better to play with it to figure it out.
Very bright and just the right size. I like the fact that you can use the rechargeable lithium battery supplied OR you can use 3 AAA batteries in the adapter (I have a set of 3 rechargeable AAAs). Rated as 2-10 hrs I doubt if it will run out with this system. The supplied charger & USB-C cable worked fully charge it in a few hours. I love the zoom function. The 5 power modes are attainable with a short press on the power button when it's on. It cycles through each mode of HIGH, MID, LOW, STROBE, SOS. "+" goes in first but no markings anywhere in the unit to show this. The "white" plastic sleeve is for the big battery.
