Excellent book for beginners and intermediate Gelli Printers
This is the first book out on this subject, and we got lucky. It is a very short book, about 48 pages, but it is a very complete book on the subject. In fact, it included almost every technique I had found on the Internet after months of extensive searches, including one I had seen only in a paid class. So yes, no doubt some reviewers will tell you that you can find all of this on the Internet. (I'm the first reviewer, so there aren't any of those yet.) But it is all here in one place and it is organized very well.If there is a problem with the book it is really a problem with the publisher and the kind of book this publisher produces. There is very little text. Almost everything is in pictures. It is so well organized that the pictures do tell a wonderful story. However, all of the photos are very small.Still, all of the information is well organized, and it is all in one place in a book that is very colorful, and you don't have to spend hours watching YouTube videos to discover the information.Recommended.There is another book on the way. There is no way to decide if it will be a better book, or a worse one. There is no way to know if it will include new and different techniques, although I hope it will. In the meantime, I'm extremely pleased with what this book includes.

49 papers of ideas for patterns using the Gelli Plate
Lots of ideas for patterns using this Gelli plate printing on paper and fabric. I like the idea on fabric and would like to make Hawaii shirts using these techniques. I can see the possibility of fish and pineapples, palm trees and islands with huts and boats. Suzanne lists her materials, which is a great help in understanding what materials to use. Also, she show us different stencils she makes and how she uses them to make a picture. On pages 20 and 21, she show how she and her friends layer colors and make texture of different patterns. I especially like her suggestion of using a hot glue gun to make a pattern on cardboard and then with a heat fun and a block of memory foam putting this pattern into the memory foam as shown on page 19. Even though this book only has 49 pages, it does have a lot of ideas for making patterns and creating composition as well as making objects from the fabric. Since the tote bags are for the ladies, the fellows could make Hawaii shirts or T shirts or even pillows for a chair.

Like a kid in a toy store
For a Mixed Media artist or enthusiast, this book is the equivalent of a kid in a toy store. So many things you can do, so many directions you can go in! Wonderful, much recommended.

The possibilities are endless ....
I was very hesitant to buy this little book because it is only 49 pages but I'm writing this review to tell you the ideas here are fantastic.Suzanne, you packed a huge amount of creative ideas in this booklet, thank you!My gelli plate is on the way and my little brain is swimming with ideas on how to create some gorgeous art for my walls.First thing I'm going to do is make a bunch of stencils from some clear vinyl I have. I like to trace around pretty pictures in magazines on the vinyl with a sharpie like flowers, leaves, etc and then cut out to make the stencil. I use heavy vinyl you can get at Walmart so the stencils last longer and they are washable. Have fun!!

Terrific art process
The gelli printing process is fun and really easy to learn how to do. The results are interesting and sometimes beautiful. I use them, so far, for poster backgrounds, note cards and journal covers. The package was slightly damaged on this one, but it made no difference. The gelli plate is totally fine. The youtube videos about gelli printing are super informative and give you more than a head start to a wonderful art process.

Great beginner book
It is thinner than I would have liked but it has great ideas. Like most arty books, the samples are not great quality but the words! THE WORDS! You can get lots of tips from this book.

I enjoyed reading the book
Short, only 48 pages, but plenty of inspiration for the beginner at Gelli Arts monoprinting. Because I'm a beginner, I found this book to be just what I needed. It explained some of the materials needed, and gave a collection of techniques and project ideas. A great place to start. Full color pages with instructions... sometimes sketchy instructions that I didn't fully understand... but I read the book from cover to cover, and will figure things out as I put them into practice.

Pretty basic
This wasn’t quite what I hoped for. I was looking for a bit of a catalogue of techniques to jog my memory as I printed as I often use the same techniques repeatedly. I’ve learned far more on Pinterest and YouRube.

Okay for absolute beginners
It doesn’t explain techniques for multiple layering effects, it didn’t have much information really.

Amateur examples of what can be produced
Has very amateur artwork. Some really nice prints have been created with these plates but the book’s examples were not good.
