I needed a long shackle padlock and this seemed good value for money since you get two. I like the idea of it being a combination lock rather than having to use a key since there is no key to lose. You could also give the combination code to someone on a temporary basis e.g. a workman and then you could change the code again after they have left. It appears well engineered and it has a nice feel / look. It is too early to say how sturdy it is going to be (hence 3 stars / average) - time will tell . Out of the box they look fine for use inside or if they were given some protection outside e.g. by the use of a separate domed clasp or 'padlock saver' which protect it from the weather. I think if left outside unprotected in wet weather they will eventually suffer like other locks I have bought. Padlocks are generally not water-proof (impervious to water) since water can get in the top of locks where the shackle enters the body of the lock. These pad locks are said to be weather proof (resistant to the effects of bad weather, especially rainwater) meaning eventually they are likely to suffer if left out in the rain.

I'm really pleased with the quality of these locks. They are very straight forward to set your own combination. I like th e window on the side which makes it easier to line up the numbers.I set the first one to a test combination that was so memorable that I'd never forget it. Only to not remember it a few minutes later. I learnt my lesson and wrote down the combination on the second lock.If it were just a 3 code combination or was quite expensive I would have tried all combinations on the first lock. But, at less than £4 and 10,000 combinations I'll put it down to experience!

We have a pair of large double gates we use to enter / leave our house, via the side door. Previously I had a traditional key operated padlock but over time it clogged up and we stopped using it.These padlocks solve the problem admirably - they seem both secure and robust. The tumbler dials are big enough to see at night.

I've been looking for a long shank padlock for a time and thought that I would give this a go. Sturdily constructed and easy to adjust combination. The long shank is essential to fit in those non standard places that other padlocks cannot reach. The fact that there are two locks in the package for such a reasonable price is the final icing on the cake for me. Highly recommended.

This padlock is very easy to set-up and after my initial use and locking of a new shed, its appears to be extremely sturdy compared to my previous padlocks with keys. No more need of fetching the key from the house to open the shed. So all in all I would recommed this product to family and friends. Plus you get x2 padlocks in the pack, souble the protection with different combinations.

My local Gym has padlock lockers, and they wanted £10 for their own branded locks. A quick amazon search found this double set for less than that, so ordered for next day delivery.I wanted a combination lock, rather than a key so that I didn't have to worry about losing my key while in the gym or out running, and to get 2 for the price of one so I have a spare whenever a mate needs one in my bag was a no brainer.Decent quality and heavy duty padlocks as needed for my central London gym, which are a easy to use and takes 5 seconds to set your code. Perfect.

I am a very forgetful person, and on so many occasions I have forgotten to bring my locker key for work. Some days I’ve left it in the car and other days I’ve not even taken it from the house!These padlocks are ideal for lockers or doors. They have a nice weight to them and feel like a well made lock. They have a nice firm click when locking in to place. The number wheels are smooth and easy to turn - they don’t stick like others.Changing the combination is straightforward using the included instructions. Simply turn the shackle round to the right and press it down into the combination changing gap. Set your new code and then turn the shackle back round. Takes a minute to change your combination.

I bought two cheap combination padlocks from EBay for about £5 and they were rubbish - poorly made and so the dials didn’t turn properly.I therefore bought these and I am pleased with them (so far). They arrived quickly, seem quite well made. The instructions are generally clear and I quite liked the photo-of-the-combination tip.I have them securing two of my ladders outside and they seem to do the job. They’re not really study, but they are good value.
