AngelusFlexible Glittercoat Glitter Paint, Tuxedo Black

Used this to add sparkle to my daughter’s black boots. Easy to apply with a small art sponge. After 2-3 coats they look great!

Yes this looks gray in the jar, but it comes out black paint!! The white you see with it, is the glitter’s glue that dries clear!! Only the glitter stays behind!!! LolI think the other reviewers saw the jar & didn’t even try it! This stuff is fantastic! I use all kinds of Angelus paints to paint leather dance shoes to match costumes! You can even use it on purses, etc!I used a similar color non glitter Angelus leather paint first, then I used 3 coats of the Glitterlites for 1 pair of ladies Tap shoes. My pictures do not do it justice- so glittery in person!I recommend a colored base coat first, or you may end up needing to use more Glitterlites!! The shoes are super flexible and the paint does not scuff off!

I bought this to paint the white stripes on Antik skates. I painted a layer of black Angelus leather paint first, which had amazing coverage. I had to do four coats of the glitter paint just to make it look glittery. I'd seen someone do it on suede with super glittery results, so I painted the suede toe stops on the skates pictured here and they came out super glittery in one coat. Not sure if you can tell in the photo but it is a nice glittery layer. I would recommend for suede but not so much for leather.

I loved the ease of use and the fact that the glitter stayed put! These shoes were a hit and easy to glam up on my own with the Glitterlites.

Love the Angelus glitterlites line but was looking for a solid black glitter which this wasn't. It has silver mixed in which makes for a more dark grey/ silver then true black. I'll keep this for another project.

I have used the silver and gold from this brand and have been very happy with it so this review is just for the black glitter paint. I read all the reviews before buying and was well aware of the complaints but knowing the brand as a good one and knowing it needs to go on in thin coats I decide to buy both this and one other brand for the project I'm worrying on. The reviews that compain its not black are incorrect. It is black and the liquid that suspends the black glitter is gray but dries crystal clear. The particles are very fine and should be shaken well before application to avoid "gloopy" mess. But the problem with this paint is just there is no sparkling to the glitter. It's just flat black particles. No shine or shimmer that makes you think glitter so it just ended up looking like a black textured surface. Not at all what the other colors do when applied. In the end I tossed this for another brand.

Having difficulty getting an even coverage.It might just be me. I'll have to work with the paint some more. I've only done 2 projects so far and I'm not pleased. Again, I'm not sure about my technique.

I am usually good about reading reviews on things, but this seemed pretty straight forward. I was wrong. I guess I should have surmised from the name "Tuxedo", that this was black and white, but the image looked solid black. It isn't. I expected a solid black with glitter in it but it looks like other customer images, more grey, and maybe not even glittery. I didn't open it to check on the consistency, because the color is not what I wanted. Returning and back to looking for the right thing. Frustrating, because this is the second paint that the color was off from the image.
