Fun station for kids or a class
Great little station to measure a couple of weather metrics. The book has a lot of information for kids (and adults) to help them along their journey to learning about weather. Has suggestions for experiments you can conduct with the included accessories. The most fun for us was the gauge to measure relative humidity and the rain gauge, as I picked this out in anticipation of an upcoming storm. My son was able to see the temperature drop, humidity rise, and ultimately collected 1.125” inches of rain which he shared with his class. The tube only holds 1” which is fairly sufficient for us because we live in Los Angeles, but may be a shortcoming for anyone living in a wetter region.Plenty of instruments for everyone to participate and/or find a favorite:- rain gauge-thermometer/hygrometer-weather vane-anemometerPlus additional areas for conducting experiments. It is suggested that you either weigh the station down or nail it down to something so it doesn’t blow away in weather conditions. We screwed ours in to a scrap piece of wood (not pictured). This is an educational tool, but that’s not to say it’s perfect or of professional quality. My husband noticed the compass is off which makes us wonder if the other instruments are off too. Probably not precise, but good for illustrative purposes.Overall pleased with this and am hoping for some more rain (unlikely).

Great if you don't live in a very windy area
Really cute but not great where I live. Its too windy here (I'm on the ocean) but if you live inland your children will like it.

Great at-home learning fun
This is a great set for learning about the weather at home. It includes everything for 18 experiments and easy to follow instructions. This set is great for ages 7+, but younger kids would enjoy observing the experiments as well.

Overpriced
Overpriced for what it is, low build quality.

Weather detecting fun!
This kit has16 pieces for your budding meteorologist. My 11-year-grandson loves science and investigating weather patterns and forming of storms. The kit includes a weather station base, lab station with experiment wells for condensation, weathervane, rain gauge, wide test tube, thermometer and hydrometer, a 32-page illustrated activity book with information about weather, and a filtration station. It includes everything needed to conduct 18 experiments. It sounds impossibly complicated, but I don’t think it is. I definitely recommend this STEM kit for children 7 years and older. With the Rona keeping schools closed, this set of projects will help with boredom, as well as providing some education. This is a STEM toy.

8 year old loves it
I got this for my 8 year old who loves the weather just like his dad. He was so excited to get it that when it came he ran outside with it and immediately started to set it up. The instructions were clear and even came with a few experiments he could do. It's not the sturdiest of materials but at the same time, it is a kids toy. He loves watching "clouds" form and catching and measuring rain. As a homeschool mom this when perfect with the weather section we were learning. Highly recommend

Thought it would be sturdier
There was a rubber piece missing in this Storm Watcher kit, a gift for my Grandson. I thought the base of the set would have been sturdier, I'm hoping it will last awhile. He is so interested in weather. It's a great learning tool, he'll have fun learning about the weather.
