Butter Cream Toffee Hard Candy, Individually Wrapped (2 Pound Bag)

I initially purchased this 2 lbs. bag of individually wrapped Butter Cream Toffee hard candy because I was looking for a satisfying replacement for my favorite Nips flavor butter rum candy. Like everything else, my dozen, 4oz boxes,(on save and subscribe) rose in price 3 times more in just this last month. "I get" inflation. But this was crazy expensive. Amazon is having a hard time sourcing the butter rum at a reasonable price. I scoured the internet and that flavor was out most anywhere(and had gone sky high if it was available). For anyone who enjoys Nips, I got hooked buying them for 99cents (at 99cents store) for many years. Who would have thought they'd skyrocket in price and be scarce? Anyway, this LeataFood product has a great flavor, similar, even though the Nips hard candy got a softer, chewy consistancy after a bit in your mouth.(yummy) The LeataFood candy is harder overall, but melts nicely in your mouth. At $13.00 for 2 lbs, I'll get over it. But keep my eyes open for "a miracle" that my favorite Nips, butter rum, will make a come back at a fair price. AMEN!!

Not great taste

This is my second order so I guess I am addicted to this candy. Great flavor and taste and reasonablypriced I gave it all 5 starts for all the options but I would not consider this candy to be a soft candy but ahard candy of which I prefer.

These arrived quickly with no problems in shipping or packaging.I was so hoping these would be like the toffee of my youth. But, it has a bitter taste, almost like a children's chewable vitamin. They aren't completely hard either, there was a bit of a chewy taffy like edge. I ended up throwing them away.

The real deal butter cream candy at a great price.
