I finally decided to do away with my very old non stick frying pan and wok as they were loosing the Teflon coating and food began to stick, not to mention the health risks. I decided to take the plunge and get a steel wok. Once it arrive, I washed it and then season the pan to give it a non stick coating. Once done, I did the fried egg test and the wok passed with flying colours. The egg cooked beautifully and simply glided off the wok when cooked.The wok itself is reasonably thick and weighty as you would expect. It cooks food really well and food does not stick to it all if its season well. It looks and feels sturdy and having had it a few weeks now I have no regrets whatsoever with this purchase.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Really enjoyed cooking with this wok. It is well built, heats up very quickly which is ideal for Chinese dishes, handle comes apart to put into the oven and for better storage. Works perfectly with induction hob.

It arrived yesterday and I used it last night and again lunchtime, so far it is perfect, I have cured (seasoned) it twice with Sesame Oil which I have found the best so follow the instructions leaflet, make sure you clean it after your meal, don't leave any food in it for long periods and it will outlast you. I have just renewed my work as a neighbour borrowed it for a Halloween BBQ and in the morning they brought it back all shiny and new, it took me over 10 years to get it to the perfect state.

Well, this wok is exactly the one I want for cooking. For anyone who is interested in Chinese cuisine, this wok is pretty much the one you need. Nice looking, lightweight and easy to clean. And the size of the wok just satisfies my requirements, which is enough to cook for me and my girlfriend. And remember to wipe it dry after cleaning for a longer lifetime!

Finally, I don't need a new Tefal wok for every six months. I cooked a lot, especially these days when I am working from home. I am really tired to be careful with those coated pans. This wok is what exactly I am looking for: sturdy, lightweight, and most importantly it is non-stick after a couple of simple seasoning! Would definitely recommend to my friends!

Upon first use of this wok despite repeated seasoning food stuck to the wok pretty much instantly. As shown in the photo the wok does not make full contact with the hob so it takes longer than it should to heat up and likes to wobble during use. Have already asked for a refund I’m very disappointed. For £40 I’d avoid.

It is a good wok, as required and expected after many trips to the Far East. Clearly, it needs proper seasoning before the first use, and from this moment on it performs perfectly. I cannot think of any feature that I would wish to have improved. The wok arrived on time, in good condition, perfectly packed.

The wok is exactly what I expected for my cooking requirements. I didn't want a non-stick pan, which usually has a large flat bottom and becomes sticky gradually after a couple of months.The shape of the wok is especially good for stir frying, like fried rice and many other Chinese cuisine. And if you use it properly, for example, lubricate it with cooking oil, it can be non-stick as well.
