MEROM 24V 500mA 26ft C Wire Transformer Adapter Compatible with Nest/Ecobee/Sensi/Honeywell Thermostat, Nest Hello Doorbell/Ring Door Bell Power Supply

So far, from what I can tell over that last 4 months, this has worked in keeping my Nest thermostat battery from failing. Prior to purchasing this transformer, I had to periodically remove the Nest to charge it, since there was no white wire in the furnace system.I will update this review if anything changes.

The actual installation took less than 5 minutes. You do have to unscrew the mounting bracket feom the wall and weave the chord behind it and out, but it was super easy to do. I was so excited to get it hooked up that I just did a temporary install for now, running the power chord under my door and over to an inside outlet. Once I have a little more time I will hook it all up with the clips I bought. Works just fine for now though :) I am so happy to not have to deal with charging the Ring doorbell ever again, especially with winter coming. I was not looking forward to fiddling with the security screws in the cold. Chord length is a super plus too. Easy to trim down if it's too long, but I doubt it will be necessary for my install.

So easy to install, I was planning to buy a small transformer for my Ring camera, but this was the fastest and easy way to do it.

I have oil baseboard oil head and air-conditioning. Here is what you need to do.shut off system at electrical box. both compressor and air handler. put one wire to "C" and the other to "RC". plug the unit in, turn the system back on. I would suggest if your battery is low, to charge the nest a little bit before turning everything back on. I have not seen a drop in charge since I have put this transformer in.

Have a ecobee thermostat with no C wire hookup. Grabbed this and installed it to do the job.Long wires, easy install, and works the thermostat just fine.I would highly suggest grabbing one if you have no c wire.

Finally got around to using this for a doorbell. Plugged in give no voltage off the leads and open resistance when tested on a multimeter. Cut the cord to the bare minimum length i needed and same Issue. No power. Bummer... But partially my fault as i should have tested immediately

Worked with my google nest gen 3. Ran the cord in the wall, trimmed the excess and it worked fine.If I had to note anything it would be that the wires are so thin they had a hard time seating them in the terminals. I folded then over and added a dab of solder to thicken and make them a bit stiffer.

Worked for my video doorbell installation. I went this route so i didn’t have to mess with batteries since I didn’t have an existing doorbell.
