Finally! A camera handstrap that works...
I'd been seeing ads for the Spider Holster for weeks in my instagram and facebook feeds and I've wanted a good handstrap for a number of years so I decided to try it. I had a couple of middling-to-poor experiences with other handstraps in years past, but I can definitely say that this Spider Holster is going to erase those memories for good. It's dead simple to install for most, but there are detailed instructions for a variety of installation scenarios so you've got options. I've used the Spider Holster now for a couple of months and I'm totally in love with it. The holster comes in a variety of styles and materials, but I wanted the basic black leather strap. The Spider Holster is durable, looks good and probably most important, it's comfortable, which is key for long periods holding a camera. The holster fits your hand so well that it's possible to relax my grip on the camera and let it 'hang' from my hand for short periods to give my hand a bit of a rest. There's a wrap-around strap that you can affix around your wrist that holds the holster even more securely in your hand to prevent you from accidentally dropping the camera. Totally a five-star purchase!

Get the original version
I have used the original version with 1/4" webbing to attach the to the upper Strap connection of the camera for many years. I have five of them.Tried the new version that uses plastic to attach to upper strap connection, unfortunately the plastic is not strong enough to last. I got a month out of it. Get the original version. If it brakes you can sow it back to repair it.

The Best Hand Straps
I have some arthritis in my hand, and long photo shoots (1-3 hours) handheld take their toll. I tried a couple hand straps before Spider Holster's solution. I have two of the original straps and bought the v2 strap for my mirrorless Canon. These are comfortable and strong. I don't have quite enough time with the v2 strap to say I prefer it or the original, but so far, it's going well. The S-shape of these straps differentiate them from others, make them more functional, and the camera just feels part of my hand when I pick it up. I've been using them for several years now, tens of thousands of photos taken, and I can't say enough good about them.

Best hand strap I ever used.
I own ther version 1 of the Hand Strap and this new version is so much better. I also used the Peak Design Clutch but I think the Spider Holster design is the best hand strap I ever own. I use it with my Sony A7M3.The strap fits really well over my hand and the memory foam offers comfort although I am not sure about the long term durability of the foam once it gets dirty with sweat and grime. Very happy with this product.

Strap broke
I'm very disappointed in this strap! It broke and thankfully I had a hold of my camera body so I didn't drop it. But the strap is less than a year old and very well taken care of. The pictures provided show where it broke. I'd definitely go with a strap that has the webbing strap rather than plastic so it doesn't snap like mine did.

Large hand, no go for Sony mirrorless.
Well made, good accessories for mounting on different camera bodies. Would be 5 star if designed for larger hands, too close at top connect, even with included adaptors for finger to reach shutter button on Sony A9 or A7 model mirrorless camera. Made a modified to extension to use with Sony A6400, would not trust this mod for A9. Nice kit attachment for Sony mirrorless photographers with small hands. Would no recommend if you wear a large / extra large glove size.

Well Made Product
I wanted a camera grip for the times I didn’t want to use my shoulder strap. Something to allow me to just grab the camera and get a photo that was in the moment. And I wanted to feel secure that I would not drop an expensive piece of equipment. This grip fits the bill and does it comfortably and securely. Five stars but for the fact that it does inhibit using some of the buttons on the camera. But that would likely be the case with any hand grip, at least for me. I recommend the product and would buy it again for what it does.

Comfortable but fragile
I bought the hand strap together with the spider holster because i needed some gear which would allowed me to quickly get to my camera in safety and put it back to have my hands free. It was the perfect combination. However after a couple of days of roadtrip and hike the strap to secure the wrist was gone... Support told me "If you leave itattached while carrying, you run the risk of snagging it on something and losing it. Normally it would be used when you have the camera in your hands and need to insure that your camera will remain in your hands. Warranty, does not cover loss of your strap." which did not really answer my doubts about the solidity of the product (if the strap should be used only while the camera is in my hands, then the probability to lose it is even higher). I guess it is not suitable for the type of usage I envisioned. However they agreed to send me another wrist strap which was nice.Other minor problem, I have to leave the index finger out of the strap to be able to shoot on my Fuji XT4.
