Italy has done it again!
Another success story as far as coffee is concerned. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a lovely after dinner coffee, preferably served black, but just as delicious with milk. It is smooth, very flavoursome and most enjoyable.

Great coffee
One of the best coffees I have tasted. Very chocolaty, nutty, smooth but strong. I enjoyed every cup and am quite disappointing it is out of stock.

Strong but delicate
It's a strong blend, darkly-roasted to the exact point where there's a bite to the taste, but without the bitterness that further roasting might have brought about. The taste is one of woody expansiveness, with a soft friction to the tongue, rather than the smooth progress of the more 'chocolatey' blends. This is complimented by a delicately sharp edge, which punctuates the experience pleasingly. The first time I used it was to make a cappuccino; the milk hid the complex flavour of the single shot - I now either put less milk in (if I'm feeling healthy), or add an extra one. It's best drunk espresso-style to really appreciate it.I'd also advocate using a proper espresso machine rather than cafetiere or filter machines - you lose the definition of flavour that it needs; there's a lot of very subtle notes that get lost, and the contrasts are muted when you use these. Not quite up there with the blend sold by the Monmouth Street roasters up in Covent Garden, but considering that's the best coffee I've found in London, that's really very good. I like it a lot.Edit 31/03/12: The grind could be finer - it's quite course for an espresso; this is ground to be used in all machines.
