CeraMetix 7" Filter Replacement Filter

******. Changed product review from one to five stars because this company is extraordinary. Spoke to rep who informed me this is a newer, solid core product with better filtration. But it’s slower by design. The rep said this product is so new they haven’t had a chance to name it. Considering it’s even better than the ‘old’ filter, I thought about keeping them OR, He offered to supply the prior model if I wished. Great filters AND a great company! ********We have used these filters for years in our Berkey and loved them...till now. We know to condition them at the start and follow the directions closely. We normally get 2 gallons overnight. This last set...we’re lucky to get 1/2 gallon overnight. For over a month we continued to use them thinking they would improve. They did a little bit. After six weeks of use we get almost a gallon. Not enough to supply two people daily with water. Now it’s too late to return them or declare them defective.

I've been buying/using these filters for some years now. The most recent filters I purchased definitely left a strange taste in the water and I was alarmed. HOWEVER...I was able to call customer service; *speak to someone* that was quite lovely and Super Helpful; and get instruction on what the issue might be and how to solve it.Apparently the newest filters are made differently and may require additional priming. I had to filter and discard water numerous times before the water tasted as it should. By numerous times, I mean repeating the process for 4-5 days. It wasn't the biggest inconvenience ever, and the top notch customer service I received made me feel patient and confident. It felt so good to speak to someone that was helpful instead of a call-center robot ...it was only right to be patient. Now I have the great tasting water I expected and I am quite pleased! :)

We have been using these for 7 years with our Berkey canister. I chose these because they filter everything I wanted removed from our tap water, including fluoride. We have city water. I researched our city water records online to see what was in our water before researching filters. Our city water has pretty much all the regular stuff in it, plus there had been one mercury violation in the previous few years. I listed all the things that I wanted out of our water, and these filters remove all of them.We’ve been very happy with these filters. Our water always tastes great.One time it seemed to take longer than usual to taste right, so we just ran the water through it again one or two more times, and then it was fine.

Nothing more to say. Installed and two days later, it broke. I don't recommend it. The company where I usually buy it was out of it, and I decided to try this place here on Amazon, lost $50.

What can I say, I've been using these for six years now. The vendor turned the order around very quickly.

Aqua Cera is my favorite water purifier, and these filters deliver.I wish I could put them as a whole house filter, but for now I am in a rental.

The AquaCera CeraMetix Filter is most advanced water filter I could find on the internet. The kitchen counter gravity water filter hold 3 gallons. We drink more water than we ever had. Go to the company website to learn more.The water pitchers have filters collect bacteria and need to be changed more often than people remember. Plus they cannot remove cancer causing contaminants like the CeraMetix does. Water all over the nation is ruined.

I bought this filter because I was looking for a less expensive option than a Berkey black filter for my Berkey gravity fed system.. Bottom line for me is taste. With this filter there is still a "bad" taste left in the water. It's un-drinkable. I replaced this filter with my old, very used Berkey Black and the bad taste is gone. I won't cheap out again. Lesson learned.
