This might be the solution to my birds setting up home in the downspout problem.
I have 5” gutter and needed a way to fasten the guard down. Used gutter sealer on the flat adapter part. Then snapped wedge into place so that the wedge can be removed for cleaning.

Good Value
Put these in our gutters on the house and garage over the downspouts to keep the Starlings from nesting and to keep the leaves from plugging the downspouts.

Not blown by the wind
Light and easy to install. Might not be a super perfect fit in width but stuck around even through heavy wind. No complaints.

Not bigger in any way
Too small for downspout and gutters

Not very sturdy. Can be tricky to install.
These are flimsy devices. They seem like they will be effective, but the jury is still out on that.Unfortunately, one of the spots where I needed to install one had a gutter support brace near the install point making it tricky to install. Ended up breaking one trying to get it to fit.

as described;
easy to assemble and install. have to wait until the propellors fall to judge how effective they are.

It actually works...
seriously.....it works. Of course, there will always be weird people who claim otherwise, which is weird.

Poor fit for a 6" gutter
Purchased these gutter guards based or:- reviews- low price- claim that they fit a 6" gutterThe price is low, and if I had a smaller gutter, they'd probably perform 'ok'. We have 6" gutters and some were installed by contractors using material from Lowes/HomeDepot. Those installs don't have the nice (professional) 2.5" downspout outlets - so these guards don't fit into the 'x'-cut holes created by the contractor's workers.Even if the holes were actually round, the guard doesn't fill the width of a 6" gutter except at the very bottom. We have a lot of leaves and wind-borne tree seeds (poplar & sycamore) - so we are always fighting gutter stoppages. Traditional gutter guards which fit across the top aren't a good solution in our experience because they get obstructed by all of the organic matter that rains-down from our healthy/happy trees around the house.This guard would probably be a good and economical choice for a professionally installed 5" gutter where there aren't too many trees around the house.
