Prone to Scuffing
I've had a long relationship with dice. From my first set of plastic polyhedrals, they've been a very important part of playing tabletop RPGs to me. Balancing fairness, weight, and appearance is a difficult goal - wooden dice look nice, but roll with less than random results. Plastic dice are fairer, but still experience flaws such as air pockets being trapped within, and over time I find the fancy designs less appealing. I started to gravitate towards metal dice, which roll in a seemingly fair manner, but many of them are so heavy they dent the table if you miss the dice tray. Not for me.Aluminum seemed to be the perfect solution. Beautiful appearance - I love the etchings. Fairness is all but guaranteed, because metal is less likely to include air pockets. I use these dice when I GM, and rarely see the same number twice in a row. Llightweight enough not to damage the table, and seemingly solid enough not to become damaged themselves... unfortunately, that last point was not quite the case. The edges of my dice, specifically the d20, have become scuffed over time, revealing a dull grey beneath the black exterior.Over all, I'm quite happy with the product. I hope they offer at some point aluminum dice with no coloring (aside from the numbers), at which point I may even buy a second set.

Cost is 100% worth it
First review for this magnificent set of dice. First of all, never have I seen such glorious craftsmanship on a product such as this. I lifted the vault, holding my 8 still wrapped dice, and it had an impressive heft to it. Ths was no cheap metal tin that was going to dent or scratch easily. As I unwrapped this treasure, I noted the triple-on-single magnet arrangement, allowing for a near-villainous display of the dice, just a crack, a rift into another world of dice pedigree, but enough to make others' eyes gleam with envy. Indeed, golden these dice may not be, but heavy dragon's sickness lies over them, for they are precious. The eges on the dice are hard, crisp, straight lines. The numbers stand out enough to read even in lower light. They're lighter than other metal dice I've handled (I have 4 different, less expensive sets), almost as light as planned plastic set. They're just heavier enough than a standard plastic set that they feel premium, witbout the cheap weight that comes with other metal dice, that makes them heavy on rolls, and damaging to surfaces. Nor was there any false gold, any lying glossy sheen to them; they're anodized alright, and it feels indescribable on the skin. They roll better than any set I've ever tried; there's a perfect randomness to the toll. They go until they stop. I would recommend using a tray or a dice cup, however.Overall, I was nervous about spending this much cash on a set of dice. But I'm active in 4 campaigns, and much like a good mechanical keyboard, the experience you'll have with these dice, using them so regularly, will be worth it.Mind you I just got them half an hour ago. I already put maybe 100 rolls into the d20, 10s, and 6s. I'll update if anything changes, or if flaws occurr. We resume play next week.Until then, thanks Wiz. You've made a grown ass man child mighty happy.

Best dice available.
These dice are by far the best dice I have ever purchased. I am a big fan of metal dice and have all kinds of different metal dice. I prefer a set of metal dice over the normal plastic material because of the balance of the die. with plastics you have a chance of air bubbles that will cause your roll to favor a particular side now this can be beneficial if you get a die that hits heavy *however ultimately not fair* it can also make a die be a complete waste if it only rolls ones. with metal dice you don't need to worry about that, but you do need to worry about the weight of standard metal dice gouging a wooden table. with these dice you get the best of both they are light for metal dice and almost identical to a standard dice weight. and to make it even more perfect, the same amount of material was removed from each face of the dice for showing the numbers, they were cut at different depths to ensure this, so the weight is fully balanced and they roll perfect. You wont get stuck with getting the same numbers over and over. I bought these for use not show and i have played the hell out of them the paint has held up. my one con is that the d6 that came with the set had a dent or gouge in it but i wasn't concerned about it because the set comes with two d6 the standard (which was the damaged one) and the floating d6. a set like this any where else goes for well over 100 dollars. 135 on etsy.

I absolutely love the dice
Paid $100 for these dice. Some may be thinking "Thats crazy", but there was some rationale behind my decision. I have put hundreds if not thousands of hours into tabletop RPG's, and dice are a key component of that. With there being practically zero cost to many of those games, I don't have a problem spending $100 on something so vital to a game that costs no money. In terms of what you get, I absolutely love the dice. I have owned metal dice that have felt excessively heavy and clunky. I have also owned the $7 sets of plastic dice which I use regularly still. These, these dice just FEEL good to roll, the weight is perfect and the sharp corners are an amazing combination. These dice are not perfect however and there are two major pitfalls I have seen. 1) The inside of the storage box is also metal, storing metal on metal generally isnt the best idea for scratching. My solution to this was putting a layer of black electrical tape on the inside and its worked perfectly. 2) The corners of the dice have begun to fade SLIGHTLY in the ~year since I have owned them. These two points are what is keeping me from 5 stars.Overall I'm very pleased with the product and highly recommend them to any tabletop RPG player.
