I’m writing a review for this because it’s so much more potent than the organic brand I’m accustomed to buying. That’s a very good thing, but since I didn’t realize it, I didn’t measure appropriately when making my regular detox tea. With the brand I usually use I can just throw a handful of dried out root into the mix without thinking about it. Just wanted others to know so that they would be less careless than I was. This is an excellent product and I’ll continue to buy it. The root isn’t chopped into smaller pieces, has much more color and freshness than what I’ve been accustomed to. When I added the same volume to my regular blend there was a definite detox effect. Nothing too bad at all but it made me aware of the quality. In future I’ll use less because it’s clearly superior in terms of freshness and potency. Just go easier on the amount you use if accustomed to the ubiquitous brand name that produces organic dandelion root. I feel like I could use a third of this vs the other brand in terms of volume. Going to check what other herbs NatureVibe Botanicals offers, because the product seems radically superior in terms of medicinal qualities. And certainly offers more bang for the buck. Very happy to have found this producer.

The dandelion tea arrived fresh and nicely packaged. The roots were dry and chopped perfectly. The taste is pleasant and earthy.

Not at all impressed. The last dandelion root I had was from a health food store, and it had been sitting in the cupboard for two or three years, but was still flavorful and sweet when I finished it the other day. It was actually cut, in BB-size pieces that brewed quickly.These roots are mostly un-cut, huge, very-dry pieces that take all day in water to soak through, and there's almost no taste, so I imagine there's not much herbal value... Plus (or, minus) noticeable amounts of gritty dirt in every single cup.NOT RETURNABLE, so I guess I'll keep putting them through my blade coffee grinder, or sometimes just soak them and then chop them up with a knife and then brew. Maybe there's a *little* bit of good in them.
