Great knife. Study blade for removing bone and cutting through larger bones in fish. Also ordered the Knife Guard - Blade Protector With Saftey Edge and Grip Defender (1-Light Grey 5" to 7.5") $4.99 since the knife did not come with a protector sheath. They work great together, keeping the blade safe and sharp.

Great knife. Dinging one star for not including or having available a matching blade guard. But the knife itself is very sharp, I use it primarily for trimming briskets and other meats. And of course, USA Made, and, well, Dexter..... what better brand?

Dexter Russell is one of my go-to brands for low price/high value knives. You really get a lot of knife for your money.This is the choice if you're needing maximum utility. It's not very attractive, so you probably won't want this setting out on your counter knife block, but everything about it construction-wise is great.I use this knife for cleaning deer during hunting season. It is extremely easy to sanitize, has good grip, and quality blade material.

I would consider the rubber handle version. Knife is rigid. Solid. Sharp and holds edge well. Handle shape is great, just little slippery.I would buy again. In fact I did.
