Great in the field. Easy and accurate. UPDATE
Great in the bag and easy to use. Super accurate and worth every penny. UPDATED March 15This unit worked fine at first. Then just over 30 days it stopped working. It took a while but I picked up a new battery and .....it still didn't work. I tested the battery and had 100% juice. I bought another battery and still nothing. I went to try and naturally this unit isn't eligible for returns if opened or used. So basically it is useless. Lucky I have a different unit so I can do my job. Big fan of Fieldpiece but this is not what I expected.

Works as advertised!
No qualms...have owned it for 2 weeks, used it handful of times. Used it enough to build an opinion. Easy to clean, dependable, probe locks into place. Compared temperature taken with another thermometer (Maverick) and it was with 2 degrees. I'd say that's pretty good.I'll update this post if I find that the temperature difference gets to be too big.

Had one for years
I had this model for years and loved until is stopped working. So glad I could find a replacement. Works just like my old on did.

Does not run on AAA as advertised
I can't actually give a review on the product but I ordered it specifically because in the info it says it uses a AAA battery. When I got it, it comes with a watch battery. If I'm on a call in the middle of the night and my thermometer dies the likelihood of me going to a gas station and finding a watch battery are drastically lower than a AAA.

This is the one
I purchased one of these in 2005 for work. I am still using the same one 8 years later. It works perfectly and is still very accurate. It gets used several times a week, building maintenance at a hospital in San Francisco... HVAC and refrigeration. I have had to replace the batteries a couple of times, common watch style batteries you can get at Radio Shack, Amazon or what ever. I bought another one recently just to have a spare because i was worried the original one might quit on me some day in the future. This little thermometer is really cool and has proven itself to me.
