The scratter assembly instructions require some common sense logic as they dont give all direction to attach bits together. It is easy though.There are not enough blocks to press if you dont have a full load in the press. However, we just cut some new blocks (no skills requires, just wood and a saw and maybe sandpaper to get rid of rough bits).BUT... easy to use, sturdy and delicious apple juice in the end. (Although that is also about choice of apples!!)Very happy.😊

Best value in terms of volume of a fruit press we could find and it's mostly a robust and effective press (so far this season we've made about 36 metres of apple juice with it)! However, there are a couple of issues which become apparent after a little use; there is not enough depth of blocks beneath the handle block and rop of the bucket so we added extra pieces of wood to the stack make up the depth; the handle crank of the scratter came off during our third batch and we had to drill a new hole to fit a bolt and secure this. Otherwise,great item that we are thoroughly enjoying!

Very strong well made equipment that works as it should and yes you do need a couple more blocks, but its no hardship to cut a few 2 x1s.

The media could not be loaded. Quite good but does need some strength to maximise the press. Realtively easy to put together but I had to add some extra blocks to get the best press.Overall worth the money and does a good job. The masher needs fruit to be quite small to start with to get the best results

Bumper crop of apples this year so cider/wine on the menu. Need a good strong table/stand for the crusher under which you put your receptacle. We crushed each batch twice which made a big difference. Press works a treat too but hard work. Dealt with about 30-40kg in the day. Easy to clean in a big sink - useful to have small brush/poker to get crushed debris out from the thread of the crusher.

Press gave 50% yield but you do need extra wooden blocks to compress properly. The scratter is a bit frustrating as doesn't cope well with medium sized apples or larger. I overcame this problem by pushing the apples into the scratter mechanism. and being patient. Anyway 50 medium size apples gave 4l of juice so can't complain.
