Dakinis laugh
The late Sonam t kazi would have enjoyed this work it operated on the three essential levels of translation outer inner an secret!.geshe duff properly respects the traditions involved and handles terma properly with care and respect! One doesn't know if tony duff has the proper realization but his scholarship shines. I am a lineage holder of longchen nyingthig thank you for allowing us to hear the dakini s laugh! May all mistakes in translation be forgiven and my all who touch see or read this book attain liberation ! Em a ho!

Very interesting
This translation does claim to correct mistakes and mistranslation of this preliminary Chod practice, Duff offers both the Longchen Nyingthing chod practice with Dza Patrul Rinpoche's commentary in fairly readable if a bit dry text. Tony Duff does seem both skillful in translation and respectful of the tradition here. Duff's introductions are quite helpful even if parts are used in his other translation around the Longchen Nyingthig traditions. Duff's commentary and fairly extensive introduction is helpful for both the context and for elements that are not explained in Jigmey Lingpa's commentary. If you are a practitioner of Chod or Longchen Nyingthig, this is a good book. If you are an outsider interested from another Buddhist tradition, Duff does give one enough context to be able to engage in the text.

Great Explanation
Great explanation of the practice. To anyone interested in buying it: You must have received the transmission in order to read this book, this is very important. If you have received the transmission this book explains everything that has to be done during the practice.
