IMO this is one of the best looking hadel sets out there. I love the fit and finish of this set. Very nice solid set with great lock action. I love that the number pad does not show fingerprints....nice mat finish. The alarm is very loud....have ear plugs in if you test. I did not and WOW did my ears hurt. Easy to install and set up. Had it installed and set up in about 35 minutes.....much faster than i thought it was going to take. Instructions were very easy to follow for the install and code changing. I really like the fact that you can have up to eight digits for a code...i use 6. Some of the other units out there will only let you use 4. Very happy with this set....you cannot go wrong with this.

This unit was recommended by a commercial locksmith so I bought it. It is a sturdy lockset and smooth action. It uses batteries which last a long time. The locksmith recommended changing twice a year but you still have a key if you need it. This is great for those of use who are trying to carry four bags of groceries and don't want the hassle of digging keys out of pocket or purse. When you leave you just hit one button to slide the deadbolt back into the lock position. I've programed different combinations for my mother's caregiver and the combinations are easy to add and delete. I think there is a wifi online program you can download so you can track who is coming in and out which is handy.It has a nice clean look given its size. Not inexpensive but worth the money if you need something like this. Great for those who can't keep track of house keys! I know a few of those. LOL

The lock looks great once I got it installed. Ran into two issues which made me give three stars. One issue was resolved when I called Schlage so I added another star. Issue one, the handle bar did not aligned with holes from previous handle. Even though it’s adjustable. I had to drill another hole in the door and find a way to plug original hole. Second issue is that manual key did not fit lock. I made copies before I found this out. Schlage sent new lock and key immediately. My guess is that this is a known issue. All in all I’m happy with the purchase having overcome the challenges.

The lockset looks great on our new door and works well! It is easy to program, I figured it out within 3 minutes of reading the guide. Our package bought from Amazon was complete with all the necessary parts and brand new! We really love this lock, and we are already talking about replacing the lock on our back door with one!Update-just needed to change an entry code-it was easy to do and works great! Also, our friends have been complimenting us on how great the lock looks!GREAT door lock, we are thrilled with this purchase and the remarkable price-hundreds less than we saw in the stores-thanks Amazon!

This was a great lock, and easy to self install (excellent instructions). However I wanted a lock that worked with my iPhone. This one did not, only works with security systems. As far as Amazon, the experience was great, including the return. However the vendor charged me a restocking fee and for shipping for return. That was NOT clear on the Amazon site. And....the explanations on what conductibility the lock works with is not clear on Amazon, nor on the Schlage site. I had to call Schlage customer service to find out I needed a different lock. They were able to tell me exactly which lock I needed based on what my exceptions were. Overall the lock was great (I actually installed it before realizing it was not what I wanted), and my experience with Amazon and Schlage was great. I would not order from the actual vendor again, though.

This is one nice looking lock. But...Someone else noticed that the handle wobbles. That's because it's attached via a thin cylinder of some weak metal, exactly like you'd find supporting a round knob. Unfortunately since we have a lever shaped handle (to match all the other lever shaped handles in the house) we've found that the slightest pressure on the outer end of the lever is enough to deform the cylinder, leaving you with a wobbly handle.Worse the handle is held in place by a cam attached to a horseshoe clip, which is held in place by a spring wire. Pretty standard stuff - except in this lock the hole is drilled too close to the cam so the horseshoe clip only comes out about half way. The result is if your door offers the SLIGHTEST resistance to opening your handle will come off. This is exacerbated by the bent cylinder... So now we have a nice pair of vise grips clipped on spindle (why couldn't the handle attach to THAT instead of the crappy outer cylinder?) until we get a fix.Adding to all that as others have posted the Schlage web site is useless; following the current trend they have lots of pretty pictures and marketing verbiage and virtually no useful information; I couldn't find the installation guide on Schlage's site but found it almost immediately on a third party site via Our Pal Google(tm).DEFINITELY would not buy another one of these!!

Super annoyed that unlike to Encode that works through the app and across to Alexa I had to buy a Smart Hub.

I purchased this set for a new door and I was so happy with it, I bought on for my back door as well. My locksmith friend said he couldn't get it for any cheaper. Both have worked great and before they were installed, I brought them to a locksmith to put them both on the same key as the other doors in my house. One was installed by a carpenter who installed the door. He was a disaster, so I showed him the video. My boyfriend installed the other one on an existing door. He had to buy the template and tool for his drill, about $11, and it took him a few hours, but it was worth it.

Finally got it.Very easy to install. Removed the old lock and installed the new.I Did end up using the old screw for the strike plate as they were longer than the one supplied. If you can use longer screw for the strike plate use that. makes it more secure.Very smooth operation. The Setup was easy and programming new codes was super easy. The alarm feature is nice and actually loud.keypad works good. Only thing is you cant see the keypad light in day time.

I love this lock set and only regret waiting years before taking the plunge and getting one!I installed it myself and it was so easy, and it has taken my front door up many notches!It works well in the cold, and the alarm function (as I unfortunately discovered with an over aggressive knocker the other day) would certainly be enough to scare off most!A big purchase I do not regret!

I like to wait a while before making up any of these reviews as everything works in the first 30-60 days. 1 very cold Canadian winter behind us and this door system still works great. Really easy to install and looks great. Highly recommend this one.

Great product. Works very well with the smart things hub. I’ve set up codes for everyone. I have a nice record of everyone’s coming and going. The battery works for more than a year between charges. I don’t need to carry keys anymore.

The locks goes through batteries like crazy. Have been through the manual, done several complete factory resets and tried to contact Schlage. Using premium batteries, at best two months.
