Hi my name is Mathias DahlThis book changed my business completely. This is a total gamechanger for me. I was making 3.000$ a month in my network marketing business but struggled to get duplication going. When i read this book i instantly fell in love with it. Never read anything like this before. And when i tested the system out in practice not only did it sound great in theory, but it also worked extremely well practically. If you have an interest in multi-level marketing (MLM), Brian Carruthers’ Building an Empire works the way a bracing tonic does when your spirits sag from a long string of “no” prospecting responses. You read a few pages and the tools he offers on its pages reinvigorate you and help you to keep on keepin’ on. If you don’t have any real interest in MLM, take a look anyway. You may find yourself, as I did, doing a 180-degree turn with your views and opinions of what MLM is and isn’t. As an example of the former (sagging spirits), I recently looked at my phone with dread as I thought about calling names stored in my cell phone, people I hadn’t talked to in months or even years. Brian’s book sat on the bed next to me. I picked it up and opened to my bookmark. Carruthers was discussing “Get In vs. Let In.” He noted that recruiting success depends on a mindset and a philosophy, comparing attitudes to hunting and fishing. (Italics added) I saw me, stalking prey like a hunter, feeling I needed to catch recruits. Changing my mental outlook and fishing meant selecting attractive “bait,” if you will, and letting fish come to it, and then reeling them in. With my mindset re-charged, I picked up my phone and got on with it. Regarding the latter (lack of interest), I was the king of negativity about MLM before joining Legal Shield. Addicted to a salaried income all my life, I saw MLM as too risky, questioned why I had to pay people to join their company, saw it as a “pyramid scheme” (which kept me from seeing the rigid pyramid scheme I had been trapped in all my career), and so on. An intuitive positive feeling about the man who became my mentor got me to a Legal Shield meeting, and I have to point out that he gave me Carruthers’ booklet to read about making his first $10 million, originally written for an uninterested person like me. Having an open mind got me to join. Despite pressing financial hardships, I found a way to join the recruiting team and, being an avid reader, I also sprang for seventeen bucks to buy Building an Empire. I saw immediately that absorbing the principles and techniques offered in Building an Empire could mean the difference between failure and success in network marketing. Seeing Carruthers’ two charts, “The Power of One (More),” was mindboggling, even if only half of the recruits remained with the company! I am new to MLM via Legal Shield, a very sensible service that functions with legal issues the way health insurance does with health issues or car insurance does with auto repairs. No one wants illness or car problems, but we’re covered when those situations arise. Carruthers underscores the need to believe in your product if you want to do well, and I know that my product has value and helps other people. Those who don’t want it are the losers; I’m going to find enough people who see what I see, and I’m going to use Building an Empire as my textbook to help me find them.

I have read many business books in my seventy years, this one is relative in life and in business. Never have I read a book this structured, easy to read, and system-driven.Mr. Carruthers delivered the goods. He has empowered me with the necessary armour to fight the negative battles in building a successful network marketing business so that I am now able to win the great war against poverty and mediocrity. There was no boisterous boasting or mean-spirited criticism.He presented a basic flowchart of how to succeed against all negative odds by using a proven system. For every instruction there was a reason, an action, an end result, and a consequence for not diligently completing that instruction. Nothing was left to conjecture and all excuses were totally eliminated.He was not condescending nor verbose. His genuine desire to foster a nation of humble, successful, and benevolent millionaires is very evident.
