Mini Split Mounting Brackets, Folded Wall Mount for Mini Split from 7000 BTU to 12000 BTU

Overall it works, but I'd recommend one with the cross member between the two legs since most of the time the bolt spacing on your condenser won't match up with your stud spacing. In my case, the bolts on the AC unit were spaced 18 3/4" apart, but my wall studs were 24" apart and I had only metal on the outside of my office. For this reason I used a piece of slotted angle steel to span farther.

Not bad mount but not made for 24” stud spacing, so I only hit 1 stud. Also the slotted mounts were not wide enough for the Cooper and Hunter 12k unit I bought, I had to drill holes to accommodate the unit.

First off, the people complaining about a crossbar bought the wrong mount as this is clearly meant for installing in concrete since you only get concrete anchors and not wood screws. That said, the concrete anchors aren't that good. No where in the description, questions, or instructions (which there are none) does it state what drill bit to use with the anchors. I measured the anchors and determined that 1/2" was the closest fit but it's probably something metric since 1/2" is a bit too big and metric masonry drill bits don't really exist around here. Anyway, I was able to get 4 of the 6 anchors installed ok but had to go buy 2 more since these just kept spinning in the hole. They probably wouldn't come out but they weren't tight either. The shear screws for the horizontal brackets are junk too. 2 of them are ok but the other 2 can't even be snugged down by hand because the threads are so loose.Once installed, the brackets feel a little flimsy by themselves but with the unit installed, they feel very sturdy.

Instruction don’t tell you size of holes to drill for anchors. Anchors are poor quality. But the mount itself is nice.

These ended up being far more sturdy than they looked. I'm still going to add some support from the top as well, but these worked out perfectly to mount my 12,000 btu unit to the top of my bus. I did have to drill two holes for the back, but that was no issue and took just a few seconds with some good (new) drill bits. I did, however, use the rubber cushions that came with the unit instead of those that came with this mounting set, so I don't know how good those would have been. Also, I attached this through metal (I put thick metal plates on the other side to add structure so it wouldn't just be hanging on the sheet metal), so the included expansion bolts and sleeves weren't used. I just used some strong outdoor rated nuts and bolts. Ordering another set now for the second unit I'm installing on this bus, very happy with the results and sturdiness of these.
