Concept book

It Looked Good on the Drawing Board
Excellent telling of yet another loony attempt to make an individual sport into a team sport. They played in 19,000-seat arenas but kept drawing 638. Sensitive readers may be distressed over seventies fashions and hairstyles.

Excellent!
I have read most defunct team and league histories and this one is a top 2 or 3. Well researched including chapters on each team that ever played with stories about ownership, players and match results. I saw several LA Strings matches at the Forum and this brought back great memories. I vividly remember the sad week late in 1978 when teams started folding and I never completely understood why until reading this book. Five stars! Thank you.

Great memories having worked for the NY Apples!
There were a tremendous amount off factual mistakes and some people in the pictures were improperly identified numerous times!
