We went all the way to Bolivia to find these alpaca wool caps. Tightly knit and perfectly finished, they're warm but breathable: the perfect winter hat for women and men. Alpaca - The Royal Fiber of the IncasAlpaca fiber comes from the alpaca, an animal like a llama that lives at high altitudes in Bolivia and Peru. Its lustrous, silky feel sets it apart from other fibers, and during the Inca Empire (1200 AD - 1532 AD), only the royal family could use clothing made of Alpaca. Why buy Alpaca?Alpaca is a rare fiber with limited production. It is warmer, softer and far more durable than wool. Due to its long fiber length, alpaca will never pill. Your Alpaca item is an investment that will still look beautiful many years after its purchase. Alpaca is a Socially Responsible FiberAlpaca is an ecologically sustainable "green" fiber. Alpacas graze freely as they have for millenia. The husbandry of alpaca sustains rural families in the highlands of Peru, enabling them to stay in their traditional homes. How to care for your Alpaca clothing: Alpaca is not delicate. Care for exactly like wool. Hand-wash in cold water or dry-clean.Lay flat to dry. Store neatly folded - do not hang. Store in a moth-free environment. With this care, an Alpaca item will stand up to years of everyday usage with few signs of wear.Invisible World: Over 30 Years Experience In Rare Fibers Since 1985, Invisible World has searched the globe for the best quality products of wool, silk, alpaca and cashmere. We deal directly with sources in South America and Asia and we don't compromise on quality. We happily accept returns of any item within 30 days as long as it has not been worn or cleaned.

Beautiful, soft, lovely
I was pleasantly surprised to discover the fit of this beautiful hat. I wear a hat size 7 1/4 and so I ordered the large. It covers my ears, but doesn't slide down over my eyes. It is so silky soft - it's the first alpaca item I've owned. I'm definitely a fan. I haven't had the opportunity to test its warmth, as we're having a warm spell in November in Maine. It is surprisingly light weight. I wore it in the house, just because it felt so good! I feel good about this purchase for many reasons and can highly recommend this product. It delivers all I had hoped, and then some.

Silky soft and warm
One year I bought Alpaca beanie hats for all the staff in my office; not one for me. When I saw the the Alpaca hat at Amazon Prime, I could not resist buying one for me. I knew the silky texture and warmth of the yarn. The design is absolutely gorgeous and the price was within my budget. All is well.P.S. I suggest a cotton liner to make the beanie even more warmer, attractive, and fashionable.

Warm even when wet &repels dirt
The hat is very warm. It covers my ears and fits comfortably, not too snug or too lose, so it also doesn’t mess up my hair when I take it off, as much as most hats do. I work outside much of the time and this hat does a great job keeping my head and ears warm even in the wind and when it gets wet from the rain. I bought the matching fingerless mittens and wear both the hat and mittens constantly. The fingerless mittens allow me to still have use of my fingers for picking up small things or gripping tools while still providing warmth and not having to take them off to do various tasks. When I come inside I simply take them off and set them on top of the heat register to dry if they became damp or wet from being outside. That way they are always dry or mostly dry to put back on again when I need them again often a short time later. Even if they are not fully dry when I do put them back on; they provide instant warmth and you can’t tell they are damp after a couple of minutes because the heat from your head and your hands transfers through the wool-fir like yarn material they are made from; so they do the job of providing warmth again very fast.I’ve been wearing the hat and mittens daily, for over a month as I work in the garden or do whatever outside, that surely would make them become dirty, but they don’t ever look dirty. To be gentle to this wonderful wool-fur like material I have yet to wash them in laundry soap using my washing machine. Just like the alpacas that live outside and don’t get baths with soap in nature, and don’t appear to be covered in dried dirt, I haven’t found the need to wash these soil resistant article’s of clothing yet. I have only added them one time to a load of wash that was on the cold water rinse cycle, so they could be rinsed in the cold water with perhaps a small amount of very diluted laundry soap in the rinse water, then spun nearly dry, before setting them on top the heat register to dry the rest of the way. They turned out fresh and un- shrunk because they weren’t washed in hot water or unnecessarily dried in a clothes dryer.Because these mittens and hat are made with such quality, I feel that as long as I do my part to not over care for them; I’m confident they are going to last forever, or at least for many years! I highly recommend them; especially to the people who spend a lot of time outside. The best hat and mittens I’ve ever owned, hands down!

Love this beanie hat
Love this beanie hat! It is softer inside and out than even expected and the Tibetan pattern is wonderfully unique, but subtle. I bought the medium because I have a small head and finding the right size is often a challenge, but it fit perfectly. Great quality, great fit. Highly recommend!

Beautifully made hats but they don't fit my large head
Very pretty and beautifully made hats! Too bad they don't fit my 23" circumference head. They creep up and will not stay in place but I suspect that is either due to the size of my head, or the shape. Gorgeous knit hats. The workmanship is superb.

Très souple, léger.
Belle couleur, conforme à la photo. Par contre l'alpaga pique un peu la tête mais il est très confortable car il ne serre pas la tête.
