A Sip of Italian Sophistication
As a coffee enthusiast who’s always on the hunt for the perfect brew, I recently decided to give Lavazza Crema E Gusto Whole Bean Coffee a try, and I must say, it’s been quite the journey for my taste buds!First ImpressionsUpon opening the 1 kg bag, I was immediately struck by the rich, inviting aroma that wafted out. The dark, oily beans promised a full-bodied experience, and I couldn’t wait to grind them up and get brewing. The Taste ExperienceFrom the very first sip, it was clear that this blend means business. The full-bodied flavor hits you right away, with a creamy texture that coats your palate. What really sets this coffee apart, though, are the intriguing spicy notes that dance on your tongue. It’s not overpowering, but rather a subtle complexity that keeps you coming back for more.VersatilityOne of the things I appreciate most about this coffee is its versatility. While it shines as an espresso, producing a beautiful crema, it’s equally at home in a variety of preparations. I’ve experimented with everything from Americanos to cappuccinos, and the Crema E Gusto holds its own every time. The BlendLavazza has done an excellent job balancing the flavors in this blend. The combination of Brazilian Arabica with African and Indonesian Robusta coffees creates a harmonious mix of sweet and spiced notes. It’s a testament to Lavazza’s 125 years of coffee-blending expertise.Value for MoneyAt first glance, the price might seem a bit steep, but when you consider the quality and quantity you’re getting, it’s actually quite reasonable. The 1 kg bag lasts a good while, even for a daily coffee drinker like myself.Room for ImprovementWhile I thoroughly enjoy this coffee, it’s worth noting that it might not be for everyone. Some may find the dark roast a bit too intense, and others might prefer a more pronounced acidity. Additionally, if you’re used to single-origin light roasts, the robustness of this blend might take some getting used to.Final ThoughtsOverall, Lavazza Crema E Gusto is a solid choice for those who appreciate a full-bodied, creamy dark roast with a hint of spice. It’s a versatile coffee that can be enjoyed throughout the day, whether you’re kickstarting your morning or winding down in the evening. Is it the best coffee I’ve ever had? Perhaps not. But it’s certainly become a staple in my kitchen, offering a reliable and enjoyable cup every time. If you’re looking to explore the world of Italian coffee, this authentic blend from Lavazza is definitely worth a try.

Smooth with a great taste!
We normally order the Super Crema roast but this last bag didn't live up to its usual quality so we decided to try this roast and weren't disappointed. With its medium strength and nice smooth taste, this bag was better than the last order of Super Crema. It's been a nice change.

This is actually good coffee
This coffee is decent. I have a rocket espresso machine paired with a Eureka grinder. Shots pull very nice with good crema. The taste is smooth and it has hints of caramel. This version doesn’t channel and splatter like the espresso version. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a good coffee at a reasonable price.

Great for standard coffee, terrible in an espresso machine
We love this coffee in our standard drip coffee maker. It has a good robust Italian flavor. Interestingly, we have also tried this in our breville barista touch and it is far too acidic and bitter tasting to even drink. We saved this bag for our regular drip and it works great as long as you go that method of brewing.

Not good in a drip style coffee maker.
I was really wanting this coffee to be good but it was a pretty big let down. I let my neighbor try it in their espresso maker and they really liked it. So with that that’s why I gave a 3 star.
