Beware: only works on Intel processors
Well, it is looks nice and sleek but only works with Intel processors. Product description implies it is like the Identiv "SCR3310v2.0" but that one works on an M1 Mac - this product does not.

Plug and Play / Looks great
Awesome reader. I love the type C version that just plugs into my new Macbook without an adapter. The "look and feel" is great and it seems like it was designed specifically to look like my mac. We can only use TAA compliant readers (nothing from China) and this one is TAA approved. The seller was extremely helpful with support and informed me that since I had a new mac running Catalina OS I wouldn't need middleware.

AvidCard CAC reader
Went to website to download Mac drivers for the CAC reader USB-C and the website states fatal error and does not load, tried website on multiple devices and unable to download drivers rendering this accessory useless.
