Real deal. Delicious tasting. Goes great w/ cacao in smoothies. Expensive, but ARONIA is one of the best known sources of anthocyanins.

Can't get it any better than this, and I have tried other brands.

The aronia berry got my attention when I watched a program about local farms. A family grew these to sell to local markets and they talked more about their health benefits than the taste of the berries. Apparently they are full antioxidants and labeled a “superfood “ so I thought I would add them to my morning routine. The powder is more of a fine grainy texture but it mixes well enough with the protein powder I use. I detect a slight berry flavor but nothing strong or offensive. I think this is a nice addition and convenient way to add more nutrition to your diet, especially when some seasonal fruits are not available.

I sweeten it with stevia so it tastes like a berry I would like to eat. Other than that it’s not sweet, which is good because many of us would rather be able to manage the total sugar we consume daily. The powder is more like granules and is a bit messy when scooping a teaspoon out of the bag, but it’s really not an issue.

Finely ground for better mixing.

I bought 6 of these different super food powders and this one has to be my favorite for flavor. It’s just the tastiest sort of berry flavor I can think of!! It adds so much to my smoothies and has such great nutrients! The price is great too!

In the days of smoothies and shakes this is a must add. If you are looking to increase your antioxidant intake and take your health to a new level this is a go to. Studies validate it's use to protect against coronary heart disease, lower blood pressure, help manage blood sugar and reduce cellular damage. It is tart so it adds a great taste dimension to your smoothies as well as a beautiful and inviting color. All around great!
