MagpulDAKA Volume Pouch Zippered Tactical Range Tool and Gear Bag, Medium 3L, Black

First off, its just a great Magpul product. If you have any other DAKA product, I must have a dozen, its just as good. The fact is it has depth, and it expands is simply the best feature. Definitely a game changer for their DAKA bags. You can put 4 - 30 round mags in it, just to give you reference. But that is dimension-ally it. So its a small to medium sized bag.Now the one star loss, its not 3 liters. Its not even 1 liter. Calculation makes no sense. This is a small to medium sized bag, not large. It is convenient sized, but not 3 Liters size. They clearly need a bigger version of this for jackets, rain pants, and larger clothing items. If they make one that is larger, oh my I will have to purchase many. I was hoping that this was big enough for rain gear clothing, hat and some stuff. Then could just grab and stuff in a pack and go. Not 3 liters.So, great product expansion is game changer, but just not big enough, think of this as the little brother, and its needs a bigger sibling!

I was excited to get these in order to take on a camping trip with some kayaking. I was not expecting these to be a drybag replacement but I own many Magpul products and several DAKA pouches so I thought I could expect the same from these pouches. The build quality of these are great but there is a huge failure with the zipper. The zipper does not close all the way like it does with others in the product line and leaves a small gap on the left of the zipper-head when closed (about 1 or 2 zipper teeth width). While not huge it certainly allows moisture into the pouch and due to the design of the pouch with the stand-up feature/folds, makes it nearly impossible to get the water out. Other DAKA pouches would be fine with a quick splash of water but this "DAKA Volume Pouch" failsOther reviews questioned the volume specs. It actually does hold 3liters. I know the pouch was not meant for this purpose- holding water- but it was just for a demonstration. I tested it out when the pouch was standing on its own (expanded) and it can hold around 2.5 liters of water to just below the zipper and was able to get the remainder .5L in by closing the zipper and rotating the pouch some. I was really surprised on how much this pouch held. Again, I wanted to test the zipper, so with the water in the VOLUME and the zipper closed, I squeezed the pouch, expecting the zipper to fail - water leaking from the zipper teeth- which it- but even worse there was a small spout of water coming from that left side of the zipper- think of someone someone sticking a bamboo skewer in the side of a gallon plastic water jug.I can't imagine what you could put in here that you couldn't put a gallon ziplock bag. The ziplock bag wouldn't last nearly as long as this pouch would but your contents would remain drier. Maybe you could use it to carry the stuff that is already in ziplock bags? After the first day using this Volume Pouch, I transferred all of my sensitive stuff to my older flat DAKA pouches and everything was fine, these may have to get returned to Magpul. They need to revisit this design.

I have several Magpul DAKA Pouches and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. They can be used to store practically anything. The quality of the welds and zippers are top notch and they will definitely hold up to some serious torture. If you’re looking for a pouch or container to house an item or items, look no further. They have a few different sizes available so do your research and get the one that meets your needs the best.

Great for keeping my chromebook charger, mouse, m I usepad, portable power pack, charging cables, pens, USB thumb drives, pens, pencil, and notebook in a rain-proof bag. The Daka bags are good, if my pack gets soaked in the rain I have this bag to keep these items dry. Now I need a larger one for my chromebook itself.

Use it for cleaning materials and lubes. Easy to store away. Durable like all Magpul products.

This pouch is awesome. I use it for range tools and misc items. Very durable and able to use it for anything.
