Lovely, battery powered toy. Comes with screwdriver to release screws for battery installation which is a nice touch. Purchased the white one. Light inside changes colour and this shows up nicely. There isn’t a switch for the bath. You just need to set it in the water and it starts upon contact it. It stops when lifted out. It sprays water up through the top and moves around. Really good fun.There is a separate base on wheels which comes with it. The base requires its own set of batteries too. It has an in/off switch and when the whale it set on top, it moves around the room with music playing and lights flashing. Works well on tiles or wooden floor. Haven’t tried it on carpet but imagine it would struggle there.Captures the attention and simply good fun.

If I could review the parts separately I’d give the whale 5 stars. It’s a great toy, good size, lights up instantly when put in water, and makes a lovely fountain.The base works well, drives about all over the place and lights up. The big downside is the ridiculously loud annoying music it plays in a constant short loop. We put batteries in on a Sunday morning and it woke the whole house (and probably the neighbours too). There is no option to turn off the music or change the volume, so I resorted to taking it apart and removing the speaker.It’s a real shame as the noise is totally unnecessary. The toy is great to play with without the incessant music

I well overpaid for this. It's cheaply made and has some sort of glue bulging out of the seams where the plastic joins. It Requires 3xAA batteries for the base and 3 AAA batteries for the whale. On the bright side, it did actually work, which was surprising but it plays the most annoying tune and is quite loud. I am genuinly in two minds wether to send it back or give it to my nephew as a means of thanking my sister for the drum kit she bought my son for Christmas. I am pretty sure the 5* reviews aren't real unless other people are buying it to wind up relatives and managed to buy it for at least a tenner less than I did..?

I was looking for a toy for my niece's birthday. She loves spending time in bath, so I came across this toy. It sounded interesting so I ordered one. It turned out to be a great gift as my sister told me that it became my niece’s favourite toy at the moment when she found out she could also play with it in her room as well. Apparently, she loved to follow the toy around the flat while dancing to the music it played. I am her favourite uncle at the moment because of this adorable toy. I am very happy with my purchase.

Firstly, the idea is wonderful, we got it into the bath... and it was fine until the end... Water had begun leaking inside the toy... is my assumption as the batteries I used were brand new... I shook it and heard water too.Secondly, the ufo scared my sister who it was intended for, she's autistic and is also scared of animals, so the circular whirring and irregular unpredictable movements wasn't to her liking. But she really enjoyed the tranquilness of the fountain whale in the water and changing lights... The music is very jarring after two minutes too. Sounds like the toys you'd get at a carnival which you end up throwing away after x days. Perhaps a melody would be better?Its a shame that its not sold as seperate parts... and then another shame that its not watertight...#returned

I didn’t expect much from it, but this whale is an amazing bath toy. Effortless fun for a child, colourful water fountain. She loves it, we even took it abroad with us.UFO base is much fun too, loud and quick, goes other direction when bumps into a wall or a piece of furniture.

Absolutely fantastic!! Exceeded all expectations this toy is HILARIOUS. The whale in the bath squirts water out the blow hole (at the perfect height, avoiding any mess) whilst flashing in different colours. When docked onto the UFO it will light up again with hilarious music played very loudly and on repeat while it sails around the floor. Baby is obsessed with it (as is the dog). It also came with a storage net and a handy mini screwdriver.

Absolutely wonderful toy. My youngest one is a little bit scared to go in bath, so every time we need to think about how we will get her attention away from bathing. This toy now makes her happy when she is bathing and no more crying. Also the other toy part makes it very busy in room as well, sound and lights are perfect and movement keeps her busy by following toy.
