I’m using this pump in a 10 galAquarium for two turtles. Out of the box it wasn’t able to keep the water as clean as I liked. Very simple fix, cut a few strips from a green scrubbing pad and placed it in the filter compartment. Not only did it work great for very cheap, it made the pump much quieter. It’s been running constantly for a few months now. Can easily go two to three weeks between cleaning. Very easy to clean too! This would be a deal for me, even if it will only last a few months, because of the cost & how well it is working at this time

Mix up at first that was no responsibility of the Amazon shipping and was promptly reshipped. There's a lot of talk about noise I'm not sure how you expect to run a low level waterfall filter without noise of running water at all. The closer the top is to actual water level quieter it is. That's common sense with any waterfall filter. I love the sound. I tossed between 4 and 5 stars. The hold on tank clip I wouldn't trust period even tho it's a non issue for me. The lid on filter (clear top) is useless. It really should clip on to stay. I went with 5 simply because there so much room for real media inside I honestly was surprised and extremely happy. I would not be buying any replacement filter pads anyway, but this filter made it really easy to use my own combo of media yet still small enough for tank. Plus the suction cups work great. Them 2 things are majority for me and make this filter better than many I've paid much more for. The pet fountain idea from another reviewer will be next.

I seem to be going through filters every few months. This one was easy to assemble and is keeping the water much clearer than others. I wish you had the option to turn off the waterfall feature (sound) but I would purchase again.

I mean it suctions like it’s supposed to but the filter falls apart so fast it’s annoying . It’s so loud my turtle doesn’t like the sound . I leave it on for a whole day and it doesn’t seem to filter anything .

Excellent product

After trying several small filters in my oversized, flat walled dog water bowl that would clog up in a short time and than refuse to pump water I finally ran into this one. It has a pre-filter that wont allow the gunk to get inside!!! Only thing that bothers me, is the pre-filter easily falls off. I fixed that by moving it all the way to the right side of the bowl, so it rests against the right wall and have had no issue. I little rock or something pushed against it would work as well. This runs well at a water lever down to about 2 inches (have not tried less). I use it with a steel food service pan, like the Winco C-WPP 6-Inch Deep Stainless Steel Spillage Pan, Full Size available on Amazon. Been running it 2 weeks now, used by 11 dogs and its holding up great, cleaned it out once!

Its really quiet and really small doesn't take up too much room in the tank I have a 10 gallon and I love it for my turtle the suction is really great on it also I have had it in tha tank for 2 weeks now and the water is still clear and I feed her in tha same tank as well.
