Looked around a while for a high quality, well functioning container for my lettuce and finally found this unit. Large enough for a medium to large head of lettuce, small enough to fit easily in the fridge. Seals well and preserves lettuce for at least one week - stays nice and crisp. Love the drainage at the bottom to keep water away from lettuce. Highly recommend - only caveat is whether or not this should be placed in the dishwasher. Washed once but made sure to remove before dry cycle began.

Tired of my lettuce getting brown in less than a week. So I had been using the green bags for lettuce storage, and they are pretty good, but can only resuse them so many times. When do you throw them out? How do you keep track of how many times you've washed them? Got tired of wondering and decided to look for a more permanent solution for lettuce storage. Many pricey alternatives out there, but I've used lock and lock containers and know they are good quality! This thing is amazing. Water drains to bottom, but is still in there to keep the lettuce hydrated.

I bought this because I wanted a lettuce keeper with a strainer. Unfortunately the strainer sits up too high for a normal size head of iceberg lettuce to fit in the container. However, it works wonderfully to keep watermelon from getting soggy and is a very durable container!

I got this item for my lettuce. I only use lettuce about twice a week and I am tired of throwing it away because it has already wilted by the second or third use. Works perfectly as intended. Wish it was a little smaller, since it takes up a lot of room in the fridge and doesn't really fit well in the vegetable crisper drawers. Also ordered a plastic vegetable knife to eliminate the oxidizing on the lettuce from metal knives. I now have no wasted wilted lettuce.

I love the way this bowl keeps it’s contents freshness and allows water and juice to drain away into the bottom of the bowl.I just wish it had a handle as the bowl needs both of your hands to put in or out of the refrigerator.
