Bodies and Bows: The Apron Shop Series (Apron Shop Series, 3)

Another wonderful installment!
I really enjoyed coming back to Blueberry Cove for another visit with Iris and crew. Here we find Iris, her grandmother and friends and volunteers working on restoring a local lighthouse and making it into a museum. And then there's the personal lives! Sophie and Jake are planning a wedding, while juggling their respective businesses and Sophie dealing with her demanding mother. Bella is dating local celeb and Olympian Lance Pedersen while ex-husband Alan is back in town with his mother in tow. Madison is still seeing police chief Anton Ball. And Iris and Ian are still dating. Mixing all this together creates drama, especially from some 3rd parties. And after an incident between Lance, one of those 3rd parties and Bella, there's the prerequisite murder. Lance is found dead, struck my a vehicle that Bella was borrowing. She's subsequently arrested, much to the chagrin of Bella's family and friends. And of course, Iris is on the case. But that isn't Iris's only concern. She has another mystery in the form of a missing person based off a letter written long ago when the lighthouse was still active, and she needs to hire another employee at the shop she shares with her grandmother. And still making time for Ian.This has turned into one of my favorite series. One thing I've really liked is it feels like Maine- the descriptions have really made the books. Another thing- well-developed characters! I really like the character development. The mysteries have been well-written, with the TSTL kept to a minimum or even non-existent.The only one down note I have for this book is Iris and her attitude toward moving her relationship with Ian- it's like she's self-sabotaging (I really hope that isn't the case). After a while it got repetitive and made those parts slow.I'm really looking forward to the next book and seeing where this series goes.

I love this series! The characters feel like friends and family. Grammar is a sweetheart just like my own grandmother.

Another adventure in Blueberry Cove
I love this series even more with each book I read. This is a great series, I love the setting on the Maine coast, the Apron shop, such a clever and different shop, and then there are the characters. It is so easy to get invested with this group of characters, different ages, different life experiences but strong ties and wonderful loyalties. All this and I haven't even mentioned the mysteries which are also quite good, with some different twists and plenty of suspects. I am already waiting impatiently for the next installment!

A good read and mystery
I really enjoy the friendship shown among Iris and her girlfriends. Along with the mystery, the reader learns much about each character. I also appreciate not having to skim over foul language or questionable moral situations. I look forward to the next mystery and hope the author does not succumb to all the PC stuff prevailing in the latest TV shows as well as recent cozy mysteries.

great ending!
This was a good cozy mystery. Though the first book I’ve read in the Apron Shop series, it worked okay as a standalone. But it also made me want to go back and read the first two books. The characters will have you invested in the story. Between family relationships, friendships, established and developing romantic relationships, the caring and supportive individuals have you wanting to visit Blueberry Cove. The twists and turns keep you flipping through the pages. And what a great ending! This is definitely a series to put on your to-be-read list.Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Paperbacks for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
