OtterBox Defender Series Rugged Case for iPhone 6s PLUS & iPhone 6 PLUS - OtterArmor Microbial Defense Technology - Non-Retail Packaging - Dark Lake - CASE ONLY

I've used other Otterboxes for years, obviously not this version. It is so weird and came with zero instructions - apparently a casualty of being "not in retail packaging" . I had to Google how to even pull the thing apart to begin with (helpful to watch a YouTube video - but make sure its for the correct iPhone model). Turns out that it breaks into 3 pieces WTF and they are chunky! And a bit tricky to get apart. You need to use all 3 parts SO you are going to get this plasticly thing that covers the face of your phone with a butt ugly white surround - don't say you weren't warned.Make sure to peel away the sticky thing over the home button before you assemble - just saying I wish I had done so! Then you put your phone inside a white plastic container which locks around it all sides and then the black rubber thing goes over that. It is very rugged which is good. My verdict after 15 hours is that it is a little less able to respond to fingers than before. I think with a few days practice I'll work out how long to press to open an app and not go into edit the home screen mode! Would I buy it again? No, probably not, there are Otterboxes that better suit how I use my phone. Will it protect my phone? - yep! It's over-engineered to within an inch of its life. Is it pretty - Nope - it is built like a nuclear bunker all function and no form. Advantages: It was cheap, it works, it will protect my phone.

Ordered to replace my old Otterbox uniVERSE case that was starting to fall apart. I previously owned a Defender case on an older iPhone and was impressed.Pro:* Multilayer protection can withstand hard drops and tumbled.* Charge port is covered, protecting it from dust and lint. A problem I have had using the uniVERSE case, costing cleanings and a port replacement.* Built-in screen protector.* Comfortable to hold. Deeper, thicker case is more comfortable to hold.* Silent switch has protective cover preventing accidental silencing. Problem with my previous case.* Recesses camera lens, reducing risk of damage and reduces smudging.Cons:* Thicker and wider case might be a negative for some users. I carry it in my front jeans and sweatpants pocket comfortably.* Wider case will just slide-in and lock in my car phone holder.* If you frequently remove your phone from it’s case to use on a stabilizer or other device, this might not be a good option as it’s not easily removed from the case.Conclusion:The Otterbox Defender is the right choice for me. They make different designs for a reason. We each have different needs, preferences and use our phones in different ways. The Defender is a rugged, protective case. The larger size is more comfortable to hold and I don’t feel the difference in bulk carry it in my pocket. However, you desire a thin case, this is not for you.It’s easily assembled, but a bit of a struggle to get the outside case loose to remove without a tool. There isn’t much elasticity to the case to start removal. I used a plastic guitar pick to loosen the lower edge and it was easy from there.**You can not use both the built in screen protector and a glass screen protective cover.** The touch sensitivity is off, requiring pressing harder and more precise. Very frustrating to use. My glass protector was separating in one area and has a hairline crack. After removal it works great wit the built in protector.

We use OtterBox Defenders on both our iPhones and our iPads. Dropped them many times and never had a crack. Worth every penny and the pricing here was great.

This Otter box cellphone case for iPhone 6s Plus is a perfect fit for my 6s plus phone. Pros: It has a hard (kind of hard rubber-like, non-slippery feel) feel in my hand- Very sturdy-fell out of my jacket pocket while biking, No damage at all. Cons-somewhat thicker than my last case, then again the thickness is minimal; so no biggie. So overall a very good case at a very good price.

I’m hard on phones and this case is great. How can you go wrong with otter box. I had this case on my old phone and dropped so many times and never damaged the phone. It’s a bit bulky but I need one that’s heavy duty. This one does the job.

With kids having cell phones, just means they will drop. Drop after drop this case has been through it all. Now, even when the phone is flung, chucked or slide across something, I don’t have to worry about it breaking.

Comenzó por empezar a quedar más blanda de las orillas y pensaba que era porque sacaba el celular de vez en cuando para limpiarlo, pero no, es algo natural para la parte de silicon de la funda que sucede por el calor y el uso y la misma empresa en su sitio da recomendaciones para solucionarlo como usar agua caliente y otros tips que no funcionan y ofrece cambiar el producto si pasa eso pero no tienen área de atención en el país.

The title of my review above says it all. If it stands up to the “regular use” of my 17 y/o son, it’s at the top of my list.
