I bought this product for a single purpose and that is Ballotine chicken. Serving a stuffed chicken with red rice is not only healthy but different. The rice has a nutty flavor and if made with chicken stock compliments the meal nicely. When I served this meal and cut the chicken people said this meal was impressive. The rice was a hit and there wasnt a speck left. I say success. This red rice is the best Ive tried. You can use regular white rice but there is a definite loss in meal taste and quality.Mike

I have been eating different types of rice lately and decided to try this "cargo rice". It is very heavy and sticky but maybe that is what it's supposed to be like? Takes awhile to cook. Tastes fine and the price is a good value if you like this type of rice
