Goodnight Sugar Babe

Where is the legal system?
Just unbelievable that all these who were involved in the abuse and killing of Vera are able to sit around and talk about this! Was no-one able to call for the police when this was being planned/discussed? Is the entire family mentally deficient as well as sadistic for goodness sake? Surely now the film has been released the police can go back and arrest all those others who were involved in this heinous crime for just sitting back and knowing what was going to happen. All one can hope for is that this entire family are chemically neutered because the family has to be stopped from bringing more of them into the world. Sickening indeed.

Very Disturbing...
Have just watched this documentary and I feel so sick. The family, especially Cheri are disgusting and definitely some inbreeding went on there. They talk about Vera and her murder as if its a day out in the park or something and its just a normal thing you do. Absolutely no remorse at all from any of them and I think that is what made me so so angry when watching this.I don't understand how only 3 of them went to prison for this. All of them who were there stood by knowing that this poor girl was being systematically tortured then taken to be murdered at the command of that vile germ Cheri. Clearly none of them missed a meal or found directions to a dentist either. Shocking US court system which in this case, clearly failed Vera.Apparently Cheri went to prison for an unrelated offence and is now dead! Thank God no longer being able to use tax payers money for free room and board. I'm sure the gates of hell were open wide and welcomed her with this epitome of evil.RIP Vera, so sorry that you had to suffer so much at the hands of these monsters.

Heartbreaking
Cannot believe what I have just watched. The callous disregard shown for this young woman by almost everyone connected to this family beggars belief. The killers were heartless, brutal, sadistic hill people. (with no access to soap or a dentist) But what disturbed me the most was those who witnessed the abuse and did nothing. Sitting there being interviewed with a sanctimonous look on their face like they were innocent. Seriously, knowing they saw the abuse and did nothing, turned my stomach. Props to the film maker, he must have a lot of courage and a strong stomach.

Disturbing, sickening but poorly documented!
Where to start?! Firstly, the whole Brooks family and everyone involved are inbred and have teeth like burned down villages...I thought people like this were only in horror movies. "Sugar Babe" seems proud that her and her cousin were known as "the kissing cousins".....It is hard to watch many of these monsters talk about the abuse they witnessed with a smile on their face. I tell myself that it is probably due to them having the IQ of a jacket potato. How they could watch this abuse and do nothing is beyond me. They are all vile and disgusting.Could have been made better (I actually thought this was made in the 90s or early 2000s with the cheesy graphics and voice over!) and perhaps more information on Vera and less on these disgusting, unwashed creatures. Hard to believe people like this actually exist.Thank goodness baby Willadean was put up for adoption!

The lot of these people need locking up for the rest of there lives...
Every single one that knew Vera, had a idea what she was going through and participated or even smiled through this documentary need locking away forever...The things that poor girl went through and no one helped!Vile vermin's, people call rats vermin but nah these are the vermin I would welcome many rats in my home and live with them rather than meet any single person in this documentary! And as for the name sugar babe... there are just no words.

A very disturbing eye opener.....
Very disturbing to see that this disgusting family were able to manipulate the system, including social services and the police. Cheri Brooks, the instigator, who bred and lead, the monsters who murdered Vera thankfully was recently in 2015 given 40 months for dealing drugs and violating her probation. These sort of dangerous people seem to believe they are above the law. Its down to society to report these kind of people to the authorities, also I blame social services for not taking action when its clear all the signs of child abuse were there.

Disturbing and gripping content but very poorly made documentary
The subject matter, personalities of those interviewed and the details they provide are enough to make this a compelling but highly disturbing documentary, even in the hands of filmmakers with very poor skills-- which is what this. The choppy edits, heavy-handed and sensationalist voice over script, graphic effects applied to photos, saccharine intro and outro guitar music, and poorly structured narrative ultimately do a great injustice to Vera's story. More adept filmmakers would have given greater space to Vera herself, the actions of Voices for Vera and the investigation and court cases. Instead, the decision was clearly to focus upon the grotesque and profane. It's as if the objective was to make viewers feel trapped and tortured within that decrepit house with monsters in globulous forms. Even a few more minutes at the end of the film devoted to Vera as a person rather than brutalized victim would have given her at least a modicum of the dignity stripped away through the narrative (and narration) of her killing.

Savages
A poorly constructed documentary, that did no .justice for that poor girl Vera Jo Reigle. Savages with pack mentality. The police should have made a case to imprison all those involved.and they all revelled in the limelight of being interviewed As for the mother, it needs putting down.
