These masks are REAL N95
These masks are NOT fake as some reviews claim. It is listed with all verifying numbers on the CDC site.It fits tight and is a very solid mask which protects the wearer and others. Breathing is just fine. Since it sits tight, yes you want to take it off as soon as it is safe for yourself and everyone around you. You can be assured, it is a true N95.I am a MD. I trust this mask.

Good quality N95 mask
Not as good as 3M N95 masks. Perhaps a notch below 3M as far as quality. But, far better than KN95 mask out there! These Makrite masks are very solid and thick. Not quite as thick as 3M but pretty close. They are quite large. So, smaller faces will have a harder time getting proper fit.As far as not fitting well around the nose as some reviews have stated, you do need to adjust the metal adjustable "bar" for proper fitment as with all N95, KN95, and KF95 masks out there. The area where the band attaches to the mask is a bit rough on the face. So, I use eyeglasses nosepad foam adhesive "pads" for a bit of cushion. As far as these masks being "not for medical use", I believe no N95, KN95, or KF95 mask out there have "for medical use" designations. For it to be truly "for medical use", it needs to be fluid resistant as per FDA. Even the heralded 3M masks aren't for "medical use"! So, please keep that in mind.I am a health care provider and have been using these masks for about 6 months now. It was just too hard getting 3M N95 masks. But, these are a good alternative to 3M. I wear them around town on my day off too. To me, a good indicator of how well a mask protects the wearer from particulate and Covid is how much I can smell while wearing the mask when I pick up take-out food. With 3M and these Makrite masks, I cannot smell any food smells from the restaurant....even at a burger joint with hot, smoking griddles. With KN95 masks and especially fabric masks, I can totally smell food at restaurants. So, take what I say with a grain of salt and decide for yourself.

Not impressed
Very uncomfortable around the bridge of the nose and it doesn't provide a complete seal around the face , maybe good for dust but not in the medical setting

Uncomfortable, Doesn't work with glasses, Smells bad
I had some N95s from 3M that I wore when the pandemic started, and they were very comfortable, but these are terrible!! The part that goes over my nose is made of scratchy plastic foam, and the strap attachments on the cheeks rub my cheeks raw, especially when I have to wear this for 8+ hours at work. The metal that secures the nose area is so thick that it's really hard to bend properly, and my glasses don't sit on my face correctly when I am wearing this, so I end up with an ocular headache! They also smell horrible out of the box; I had to let a mask off-gas outside of the package they came in for 24 hours before I could wear it. I really don't have a lot of confidence that these are protecting me or my clients like they should be. I will not be ordering these garbage masks again, and I suggest you keep looking, too.

Good mask BUT does not seem to seal around nose
I closely matched NIOSH numbers to CDC site and I do believe they are authentic N95. There was no smell or itchiness or poor quality. I have used another N95 mask and that one just naturally seemed to make a pretty good seal with just a little bending of metal support around nose BUT on this one I CANNOT MAKE A SEAL; I even removed strip of foam for nose bridge and bent metal frame tightly around my nose. Overall seems to be a good mask and maybe seals for others who are not a male with a moderate-to large face and nose.

Fits comfortably and CDC approved
I'm not sure why others are complaining about this product. I find the mask comfortable to wear and it fits very snugly on my face. It's also CDC approved so it should offer the proper protection when out and about grocery shopping or on a plane.
