They work!
Very good to hold something you don't want the metal vice jaws to mar.

Great!
These are great. Makes a junk vise with gnarly jaws a lot more useful.I often need to clamp aluminum and other soft metals/plastics. This really helps to keep the damage down.Everyone with a vise should have a set of magnetic soft jaws.

Good, but the magnets ARE weak
I like these jaws, they're well machined, fit together well and protect your work when you need them. The only thing that keeps them from being a 5 star product are the weak magnets. They're just not strong enough and as a result they slip when you need them to stay put. So I took a chisel to the magnets (covered them first with painters tape because they are very brittle and will shatter and fly all over - wear safety glasses) then scraped out the remnants and the adhesive with a pick. These things are better made than you may think. The original magnets appear to have been glued into metal cups (like freeze plugs) which were then pressed into the aluminum. Once I cleaned out the cups I epoxied in some 16x4mm replacement magnets. NOW they're worth 5 stars!

Magnets Are No Good
The magnets are not very strong, so these magnetic vise jaws do not stay put. To make matters worse, when they fall on the floor the magnets pop out and break because the adhesive holding them in is weak. Time to order some different ones.

Good magnet
Magnets are good. I had a previous set of soft jaws and I like these much better. With that being said. I use my nylon soft jaws the most. I was on the fence with the nylon at first but those puppies get the most use

Buyers beware
I had high hopes for this item, MAYBE if you clamped something full width they would work, however if you clamp down on anything that is not the full 8" the rubber bows out, ours fell off at one point. We used JB weld to hold it in place, even then anything less than 8" caused the rubber to bulge out. They "look" good, but are not, at least not for a fully functional shop that holds various sized items in the vice. I would be in good conscious to call these trash, from what we have experienced. The only redeeming quality is that the magnets are strong, and their finish is nice, but the fatal flaw is in the rubber...the most important part.

Just alright
The adhesive that holds magnets and jaw rubber needed immediate repairs

Seltenes Messing
'anheften' , also doppelte Schonbacken-Funktionalität .
