Good looking, comfortable, and solidly made. A bit heavy, and not the most expensive. I'd say it costs about 3 times more than the cheapo crap that is available at the big orange box or provided by most employers, and weighs about 50% more, but it feels about 5x better/safer. It is also about 1/5 the cost and twice the weight of the most expensive hard hats. I think it is right at the sweet spot in terms of balancing cost, weight, strength, comfort. I really like it. Even though my company provides basic PPE, I always prefer to buy my own higher quality stuff. It's pretty cheap insurance. If you're so feeble you need to spend a couple hundred dollars to save 5 ounces, you probably shouldn't be working construction to begin with.

Fiber-Metal makes the best hard hats. They're stronger than the cheap hats that the contractor is required to provide. Obviously when talking about safety equipment stronger is better.The hat is comfortable and, with the ratchet harness, very adjustable. It can be worn with the brim either in the front or the back.The description says that there is a 360* padded sweatband, but that isn't the case. The picture used is accurate and you can see there is no sweatband on the sides, just the front and back (like most hats).Hard hats have expiration dates. The date of manufacture is stamped into every hard hat. Different manufacturers have different lifespans of suspensions and shells. Your current hard hat may be way passed its expiration date and no longer be offering maximum protection. If it's time for a new hat, Fibre-Metal is a great option.

Good hat, and it fits deep in your head! but it is a bit heavy. I guess that was to be expected. Ended up getting a lighter hard hat, but my buddy took it and he likes it.

Here in Alaska the weather on the coast is ever changing, one day I'll be in rain gear the next in shorts and a tee. I needed a hard hat that I could change the size easily base on the gear I might have on that day. I also needed a hat of a different color because as the rep for the owner of the building that was under construction crew members needed to be able to pick me out from a distance. Most importantly I needed a HH that was durably constructed for my safety. This hat filled all of those requirements

All is ok with the construction of the hard hat, but am not able to wear it to work due to it not being "BLUE".. it is a very dark blue and my company will not let it happen due to not being high visible blue.

Pros; Looks great, very comfortable, adjustable fit. Very light, you don't notice it once it's on.Cons: Other people keep trying to borrow it.

The hats are first rate, but the suspension system is second or third rate. The piece of plastic that actually connects the suspension to the hat is laughably small and weak. The hat will last forever, but the innards won't last much more than a year. Replacement suspensions cost 60-75% of the whole price.
