Ladybird Sleepy Tales: Ten Calming Stories to Help Little Children Relax at Bedtime

I've given this 5 stars because it ABSOLUTELY WORKS! The stories are enchanting and the voice is extremely soothing and there are little pauses which gives your little ones (AND grown ups) time to relax and become sleepy. This has proven to be effective and the tales are very positive which is a bonus to sending unhelpful worries away. I'd previously rated this 4 stars due to the fact that we had used an old cd player which seemed to spoil the content delivery - having realised this we bought a brand new rechargeable cd player and wow, fully recommend this item and will purchase again to give as a gift. This cd is the only product I have found which helps our daughter relax her mind in order to get to sleep by herself. She has a very active mind, resists going to sleep and does not like being left by herself. However, this cd has massively helped improve bedtimes. I never leave reviews but this time I felt I owe it to all parents out there who dread bedtime. Buy this cd - it's worked for us and its certainly worth a try.

I got this for my 8yo who had got too used to other sleep cds as a change. She loves disc 1 but finds disc 2 boring so will often change it if it’s been put on. Shame that half the product is better than the other. Saying that I am very grateful that CD 1 does the job of relaxing her and aiding sleep to come a bit quicker!

I bought these audio books when I had reached my wits end with my 14 month old son refusing to go to sleep or staying asleep through the night! Sleep deprived and stressed I made a middle of the night purchase of these as a last hope....THEY ARE A MIRACLE CURE! Genuinely, the first night my son was getting used to them, but by the second night he was asleep by the end of the 2nd story (about half hr). I put them on when he gets put in his cot and they stay on until he falls asleep! 2 months on and he is asleep within half hr every night and sleeps peacefully the whole way through the night EVERY NIGHT! I would definitely recommend these to anyone struggling with getting their little one off to sleep!

Ordered these audio stories for our 6 yr old girl who has recently been restless at bedtime. Checked on her 20 minutes after putting CD on and she was fast asleep. She didn't get up once. The stories are told in a gentle female voice with soothing sound effects like fluttering fairy wings and birdsong. A soft tune plays when the next story starts. CD Case was slightly damaged, but looks like it happened during delivery. Both CDs are fine.

I have brought many bedtime audios but found them either to high pitched for my little one or voice over is not that soothing, this cd however ticks all the boxes.It’s a lovely gentle audio cd, especially for active minds who find it hard to switch off like my childThis cd keeps my little ones attention whilst relaxing him

Absolutely brilliant. Lovely relaxing recording. Bought for grandson. Three year old loves it at bedtime; it has also been used during the middle of the night when he is wakeful and it lulls him gently back to sleep again. Update - after 18 months, when my grandson (soon to be 5 yrs), needs a relaxing bedtime listen, this is still his favourite - and it still lulls him to sleep!

Not overly impressed with this. It's basically mindfulness/meditation loosely expressed as a bunch of stories. Will really depend on your child if this works for them. 6 year old 'gets it' and enjoys it and it seems to settle her but 3 year old can't be bothered with it at all as the "story" is too slow to the extent it just doesn't make sense to her. Would have liked it to be proper stories read in a soothing voice, but again, will just depend what your kid likes.
