I use it to hold charcoal, with a 10 micron screen on the bottom. This thing is indestructible worth the price.

This filter was absolutely great. I was able to run a very hoppy beer through my playe chiller and pump with no problem. I was amazed at how well this preformed. It was super easy to use, and clean afterwards. When I went to clean it out it was completely packed with hops and solids, but the beer kept flowing with no problems. Beer going into the fermenter was was the cleanest and clearest beer I have ever start with. Definitely a good addition to my brewery.

its bigger in diameter then my inline filter i already have. the description wasn't clear. however it works great , used it for a batch today. and it performed perfect. this kept most of the pellet hops from going through my plate chiller. was a must needed addition to my tools in the brew house.Thanks.

Beautiful stainless steel

I was excited when this arrived, and anxious to test it!My first impression opening the box was that it was well packaged in 2 layers of bubble wrap, and it shows, as this filter has an impeccable fit and polish! Its quite heavy for it's size, and has a very solid construction.I've been struggling to keep my plate chiller working properly, and this filter did the trick! The filter flows well until it is packed solid. I had to remove and clean it once during the chilling process. I tend to add too much hops to my beer, about 14 oz in my brew kettle for a 56l batch with my latest recipe. Cleaning is a breeze using a regular kitchen sink sprayer.

Use this four times with my current filter system however the metal perishes quite quickly.

The clamp I received is defective and causes the filter to leak. Otherwise the filter seems to function fine.

Love the housing and the quality is good save for the mesh sleeve. We've used it only 3 times for our easier brews with low particulates to test it out and the mesh sleeve broke apart on the 3rd try. We were hoping it would be more robust for some of our other brews with additives and more hops but if it didn't survive 3 easy brews....We're going to try sourcing a new mesh sleeve from somewhere else in the hope it lasts longer.
