This is an EXCELLENT book and beneficial to any organziation....even Public Education!!!
As a Doctoral student with a concentration in Organizational Leadership, I have read many, many books on the subject. At the top of my "favorites list" are Aubrey Daniel's Bringing Out the Best in People, and Joe Laipple's Rapid Change. I have this book on my kindle, but I'd like to have the paperback for easier access at times, so I've come on-line to purchase it. I was actually very surprised to see that only two people have rated it, so I am writing this brief in support of it, which is actually the first I have ever written. This book illustrates the application of applied behavior analysis (science of human behavior) in a clear and easy to understand format. While other books can be full of "fluff", this book is rooted in science and gives very concise and understandable strategies for improving staff performance in any organization. I personally use these strategies in public education and have observed immediate measurable success in staff behavior and ROI (student achievement). Not only do these strategies result in increased staff performance, but they create a culture of learning through a continuous improvement process rooted in shaping that leads to improved staff morale and a positive climate. If legislators and Administrators in Public Education were required to read and then apply the technology demonstrated in this and Aubrey's book, there would undoubtedly be a drastic increase in student achievement and teacher retention (50% leave within the first 5 years). This book will teach readers how to develop "want to do" staff as opposed to "have to do" staff.

Concrete Plan for Driving Change Initiative
I have read many different books on driving performance. I found this book to offer a detailed plan to drive change. This book covered topics such as:- how to identify the behaviors that lead to desired business outcomes- how to break these behaviors into their component parts and train others on how to implement them into daily routines- how to establish coaching sessions to regularly analyze behaviors and outcomes and incrementally improve both- how to develop an actionable plan that will lead to long-term desired business outcomesI would highly recommend this book for anyone in a leadership position.

Excellent!!!
Excellent! If you're looking for a new way to get results, Joe's approach to performance coaching is the way to do it. I'd highly recommend Rapid Change for any leader looking to make a difference and help their teams evolve and grow!

Summary of Aubrey Daniels
Too wordy, not enough value to recommend to other readers interested in Positive reinforcement Management. Stick to Aubrey Daniels and skip this book.
