I purchased these so I could use one (that's visible)to secure my front bike wheel to my down tube whenI stopped during a long ride to munch on an energybar and chat with my cycling companions. Road bikenormally don't admit a kickstand, so this processstabilizes the bike. Great use for it. Another use isto do the same when your bike is being transportedon a bike rack.

The straps are not long enough! Two of my smaller bike wheels couldn't be secured as these straps weren't long enough. Not sure if I will keep these!

There is NO gel coating ..very slippery does not grip at all on bicycle.Only reason I bought this was because it said gel coding grips better
