Butyl Round Cord 3 mm x 15 m Black

This is the stuff more commonly seen if you've ever had the door trim off your car - it's the stuff used to seal the inner waterproof membrane on the door.However it's useful for all sorts of waterproofing and sealing jobs. It's basically a pliable and mouldable sticky plasticine-like substance that never hardens.I've just used it on an outside light, which although IP54 rated, one or two reviews mentioned water ingress in extreme weather and exposed positions, so I've used this like a gasket on the joint seams to give extra water repellency. I've also used it to seal side marker lamps on a van that had water inside. Useful in caravans and motorhomes too, for sealing anywhere externally where the body shell has an aperture (for wires, pipes etc).Useful stuff to have handy

Great for use on vehicles

Used this, as my Renault Clio sun roof was leaking. Took me a while to take the sun roof apart, stuck this around the edges after cleaning up the old stuff. This will work much better imo than what Renault supply. No more leaky sun roof and much much cheaper than taking it to the garage.

VERY sticky, flexible and soft butyl rope. Perfect for sealing the new roof light onto my camper van.Lots of other uses I am sure will be found for the 20% I have left over. All in all great stuff

Great when combined with some plastic sheet to replace the waterproof plastic inserts in my Land Cruiser doors.Always wondered what the black gunk stuff was which holds the clear thick plastic bag material onto my metal doors - this is it.Bargain, easy to use and works a treat :)

This solved the leak caused by a failed seal on the inner door card.

Use this butyl cord for securing the cable of my dash cam. Probably not what it's designed for.

Use it to fix a leaking Clio sunroof easier to fit than using silicon and sealed all the leaks perfectly,

Habe dieses Dichtband für mein Auto benötigt um die Türtafel richtig abzudichten.Die Dichtung kam gut verpackt, nicht eckig gedrückt wie bei manchen anderen .Die Verarbeitung war ohne Probleme, ließ sich gut händeln und jetzt ist mein Auto zu 100%Dicht .Gutes Produkt, empfehle ich so weiter 👍🏻

C'est la bonne matière pour coller l'optique si on doit la changer. L'optique tient bien en place, c'est bien étanche et on a de quoi faire plusieurs phares, au moins 3 ou 4.Par contre c'est du boulot pour enlever l'ancienne optique. Il faut vraiment être motivé. plusieurs heures de patienceIl faut enlever les 4 ou 5 agrafes qui tienne l'optique, bien chauffer le joint existant pour bien le ramollir, mais sans faire fondre le plastique du phare et ensuite on arrive à le décoller progressivement.Pour le recollage on met le nouveau joint au fond de la gorge, on chauffe bien pour ramollir, on enfonce bien l'optique dans le joint ramollir et on remet les agrafes en les chauffant bien pour quelles percent le plastique de l'optique sans le casser
