These are better than I expected. Made well, finished well, and they function well. The cutters are fantastic. The molded sheath and composite belt clip are substantial and very nicely designed. I thought the price was high but the fit and finish are also high. The tips close perfectly and the cutters are precise. Extra blades are included. I hope they will fit just as well when needed. I am glad I did not get the larger ones. These seem adequate for small to medium and even some larger, non-toothed, species.

These are absolutely the most finely made fishing pliers I've ever seen---and I fished with Simon. It appears as though nothing was spared, no corners were cut. And it comes with a set of replacement carbide steel cutting blades AND replacement screws AND the tool to replace them. Yes, it's spring loaded, and yes, it comes with a belt holster; and yes, it comes with a stretch cord to tie it to the holster (and a carabiner to hook it to whatever else you want to hook it to). The package says it was produced on a CMC milling machine---and I believe it.Besides its usefulness, it's a great value.

I used the pliers for the first time this week, I really like the pliers but I somehow bent them trying to pull the hook from a 33 pound Yellowfin Tuna. I don't think this has anything to do with a defect, just don't try to jerk a hook off a fish with them. I will attempt to get them straightened so the cutter will work properly and just keep using them best I can.

Purchased this as a gift and the recipient was ecstatic . He had been looking for this addition to his fishing gear and the pliers did not disappoint.

Very Sturdy, Sharp and Useful. I know these are new, but after checking them out in person, you can really tell the thought that went into making the average and professional fisherman a much needed tool that will stand up to countless trips offshore. If I don't have these borrowed by my brother, these will definitely last me many years.

They are very well made and work great for cutting through fluorocarbon and braid like butter. They also come with a nice little belt holster.

Well made, do what they are suposed to do. Not just for split rings. Very handy on the boat. Love the line cutter.

I haven't used these on my boat yet, but they feel strong and they close very tightly, so I think handling any type of line should be easy!
