Great series

This one of the best books available on the market. What I like about guitar books is that they contain technique ideas with reference to real music. This book does it. Musical examples are melodic and fun to play. Hearing the tracks makes you want to grab your guitar and play!

Need some new approaches to your playing then this is the book for you. The authors assume that you know the all the basic scales (major, natural minor, pentatonic) and performance techniques (bends, vibrato slides) so if you don't this is not the book for you. But if you do, they give you ideas on how to deal with most musical situations such a the blues, styles of rock and then go on to show you how to cover some of the more challenging chord changes (diminished, m7 flat five etc). They also cover model playing, modulation and covering secondary dominate chord changes. The included CD, which is backed up by the transcription (tab and standard), covers all these situations allowing you to practice what is discussed in the book; another fine book in the MI series.

Ottimo testo per chi ha conoscenza intermedia/avanzata della tecnica e vuole migliorare.Lo uso da un bel po' di tempo ed é fantastico, anche se alcuni passaggi sono veramente difficili se affrontati senza l'ausilio di un insegnante.I soli presenti sono veramente belli, parti di musica reale che invogliano a cimentarsi subito sullo strumento.Spinge molto sui modi e sull'uso dei modi, forse se non si sono mai affrontati prima potrebbe essere utile avere un testo di livello piu basso su questo argomento.Lo sto consumando, penso che lo ricomprero' presto perche' sono soldi veramente ben spesi.
