This product worked for our puppy who came to us about 3 pounds. It was quickly outgrown but worked well. Puppy hated velcro sound when removing.

Finally, a harness that fits my tiny pup! I have had a hard time finding a harness that will fit my tiny 7-week-old Chihuahua/dachshund/beagle mix. He's only 2.8 pounds per the vet visit yesterday, and even the XX-small harnesses at the pet stores locally are too big for him. He easily got his front legs through the neck holes on those! Make sure to use the measurement guide that is on the listing in the product description area to get the correct fit. I got the extra small size based on his approximate measurements taken while he was sleeping, and the whole back of it is Velcro to get the correct fit easily, and then the nylon straps you see in the picture are not adjustable, so on the smallest setting of Velcro, the straps kind of flop on his back a bit, but at least that means he will be able to wear this for at least a few months (if not his whole life depending on how big he ends up). It was super easy to put on him since the whole back opens up for him to step into, which means that I was able to put it on the floor, place him on it, and then lift up the harness to get him into it rather than having to thread his neck or one leg through a hole in order to get him into it. This will make putting the harness on much less stressful for him, and he didn't seem to mind having it on at all. The body/neck areas which look like mesh are slightly padded, so they seem very comfy. The slight purple detailing is a little bit girly for a boy dog, but I look past it since I'm a girl haha! I was even able to keep his collar on with his ID tag without it seeming to pinch at all.

My mini pin weighs approx. 4#. She is full grown. However, her build is slightly different than your average dog. Finding a harness that fit as it should had become almost impossible. I saw this one on I believe a facebook add so I decided to look it up on Amazon to see if I could purchased through there. The rest is history

I just don’t love the way it fits it rolls under my dogs armpit and around her chest. It’s secure but just doesn’t look comfortable. She’s 5 pounds

We bought this for our 2.1lb yorkie-mix puppy (she was adopted from the shelter so we honestly don't know what she is, point is she's tiny with stocky legs.)For the price it's made considerably well as far as stitching and resistance to wear- as others have noted the velcro is the weak point. I thought it wouldn't attach at all at first, the pile is just so low, but it's been holding up fine through over 20 wears so far.I like how the little nylon cord on the top has an easy snap buckle and doubles as a 'handle'.The coloring is a bit strange, with a non rainbow rainbow seam lining- I do wish it was sold purple but that's a design preference.My main note is that the arm holes are GIANT- so our tiny dog CAN pull her arm through during a day's wear if not properly monitored. Like with any harness don't leave your dog alone in one and always check for proper fit throughout the day/trip.

My shihtzu puppy was 1.7 when I got him and nothing else would fit! I got the petite xs. He is approaching 3 lbs now and it still works but it is starting to get tight. It was the only harness I could find that was a step in style since he did not like feeling two clicks or it going over his head.

Previously had one of these for our first Yorkie (in a size small), which he outgrew and also managed to chew the plastic clip until it was mangled. Purchased this one for our new little Yorkie and got the XS which is perfect for her, the size was okay at 2.3 lb and is perfect at her current weight of 2.9 lb. Highly recommend these little harness vests, they are so much better, and safer, than a collar. They are easy on and off, the Velcro tab works great plus there is a clip for security with an o-ring for the leash to attach on to. Only recommendation would be that the plastic clip be made out of a harder/tougher plastic because puppies seem to love to chew on the plastic so if you forget and lay it down you will likely need a new one. They are cute, easy on, easy off, safe, and comfortable - what more could you ask for? Highly recommended. I looked at several types of harnesses (even ordered one), but none are as small and fit as well and as comfortable as these Lil Pals small dog harnesses. If something happens to the one I have, I will definitely buy another one.

I love this mini harness for my Havanese puppy that we just got. She is about 9 inches girth currently and about 3 pounds. I brought her the petite xs. I find it crazy that there are not more harnesses for petite dogs and puppies on the market so I was very glad when I found this brand!

Mixed up order. I did not receive the harness but got a children's art kit lol.That said, these harnesses are awesome for very small dogs. The XXS should fit a tiny Chihuahua no more than 3 pounds.

This is a bit tricky to get on my little dog as he doesn’t stand still for long. However once it’s on I actually think it is probably safer for him than his harness. It fits great and doesn’t put any pressure at all on his trachea. Good product. I would buy this again.
